Seriously, the best part of last night's episode for me was seeing that Tyne Daly is Derek's mom next week!!!

I don't know if it's because I watch too much L&O and read too much true crime and such, but the serial killer was the most boring serial killer I've seen on tv in a while. Interesting to see that both he and the wishlist boy have continued storylines next week.

I think both characters are on for 3 episodes.

Eric Stoltz directed an episode of Grey's earlier this season. He said that it was great to play this part since he already knew the entire cast. While in the hand and ankle cuffs, Dempsey would tickle his feet to torture him.

I can't say I blame TR Knight for wanting out. He had what, 5-6 lines last night?

Yeah, I agree about T.R. He just is getting nothing, but then so are a lot of other characters. The chief's storyline is stupid, and Bailey has been there, but not really. The three biggest mistakes, in my opinion, were, 1)Callie and Erica's relationship, and it's abrupt ending, 2)Denny coming back, and 3)The interns getting a real storyline.

And was it just me, or did the serial killer's story remind anyone else of Sweeney Todd a little bit? Okay, just the throat slitting part.

lol, and I could probably do most of them from memory-
"Happy Birthday Izzie."
"Hey Christina, did you know it's Izzie's birthday?"
"Someone should do something for Izzie's birthday."

Poor T.R.... remember the days of Burke's hand, and George's father's surgery? When George was an actual character? Good times, good times.

I really hope the serial killer gets more interesting if he's gonna be on for *two* more episodes, because I was *laughing* at the "...and I tried to kill three on Thursday, because the alliteration of that is pretty..." speech.

I am now more interested in episode 13 than 12. I've seen some promo pictures from that episode, and they all were of Callie and Cristina, in what looks like their apartment. I believe they are in the same area anyway because of a light switch on a wall in the shots. Actually, it looks like Derek went to see Cristina or something too.

Plus, isn't that the episode where Callie and Arizona are supposed to get together or something? And there is some sort of a Mark storyline, from what I remember. It had me curious.

Am I the only person who was bored by last night's episode? I was just disappointed all around. I'm not sure what to think of that scene in the shower between Cristina and Owen. I do sort of like them together, but I don't know what to make of that scene. And again, thanks Shonda for showing us that Mark and Callie should be together, but making him go off with Lexie. Gross.

And I don't know why from the preview, but I think Mark's injury has to do with Lexie. LOL! I think it is her talking to Callie. I found out from Ausiello that he breaks his penis in the next episode. So, I have no idea if that would be something for Callie to deal with, since she is an orthopedic surgeon, or maybe Lexie tells her about it, because she knows Callie will be the only one to not make fun of Mark. Well, the last part, I'm not so sure about.

I was slightly disappointed with last night's episode. I was more into Private Practice than I was into Grey's and that's saying something!

I like that Derek's mom turned around and gave him the ring and told him Meredith was 'the one'. I was sure she'd blown it after what she said to her! However, from the previews for next week, I'm assuming she's blown it for herself. We'll see.

Cristina and Owen in the shower was cute - because she's connecting... however it bugged me that she got in the shower wearing cashmere. Who DOES that?!

Im really tired of Lexie and Mark and it's only been what? One? Two episodes? I'm over it.

Generally I'm over Grey's this season. Im holding out for something really big, but thus far, nothing. The season finale (eventually) better be good.

It looks like Arizona is staying on for 4 episodes now. There are promo pictures for episode 14, and she is at the bar, not with Callie, but sitting near her. And it looks like they might talk to each other.

But, my biggest pet peeve about this is Callie's hair. Yes, I know Sara is back to bangs again, but I think this could be a goof on the show. If you look at the pictures out for episodes 13 and 14, Callie is wearing the exact same shirt and jacket. However, her bangs magically appear in episode 14.

All I can say is that Callie had better had time during the day to get her hair done, or I am going to question this forever.

Ok so first of, I feel like I'm one of the few who actually REALLY enjoyed this episode. These last two episodes have been... as close to classic Grey's for me as I can remember in a LONG time. The only thing that I felt kept it from being full on classic Grey's good was the fact that there's still the Izzie/Denny storyline. But the patient storylines were SO good. And Mer and Cristina are friends again. And Cristina and Hunt are pretty great. And... just yeah. Mostly I thought it was just really powerful.

That said, OMG since when is Private Practice even better than Grey's, even when Grey's is getting better again? Like, seriously, WHEN did that happen??

I know this isn't a PP thread, but:
The Pete/Joel Grey (I blank on his character's name) storyline. First time that PP has EVER legit made me teary eyed. I'm actually tempted to say I was so moved my Tim's performance that I want him to get an Emmy nomination for it. Then again, I'm just a fan of his acting style in general because he plays it so understated that it REALLY makes it emotional when he gets emotional. But yeah. Him and Joel together were just... gahhhh break my heart why don't you.

And the writing in general on that show has gotten LEAPS and bounds better than when it first started. It's so easy to get into now!

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I thought the past 3 episodes were excellent. I have been impressed with Patrick Dempsey's performance for the past 2 weeks.

I guess we now know why Denny came back. if I got it right. He came back to get Izzie. She is sick and he wouldn't tell her. So she has to decide. In a way, that scene was worth all of the annoying episodes with him. I had hoped they had some good reason for him to be there. This was an excellent episode that brought me to tears by the end.

Can someone explain the Denny and Izzie thing? I missed the last two episodes so tonight was really confusing. I'm fairly certain when Izzie said she was sick she meant mentally, correct?

I'm not sure if I buy that Denny was actually spiritually there in some fantasical sense, as opposed to Izzie having some sort of brain condition causing her to hallucinate him. That seems more likely in Grey's universe.

I was thinking that the "sickness" might be mental at first. But I think Denny meant that she was physically ill. The whole thing about making a choice, to me, meant that she could find out what is wrong with her and be "cured" or she could let it go, die and then they would be together. I could be totally off on that, but that's what I got from it. I'll have to watch it again.

She's on indefinitely at this point. Callie has enough feelings for her to be discussing it with Addison in 3 weeks. My understanding is that they are thinking of keeping her.

I didn't hate last night, though PP is kicking Grey's ass as far as I am concerned. I don't buy Lexie and Mark for two seconds. Callie's reaction to Mark being hurt was pretty strong. They just have a natural chemistry. Mark and Lexie don't have that. Blech. I love Owen. I am so loving the Cristina/Owen pairing. I must admit that I loved Derek getting Mer and Cristina back together. I think things are moving in the right direction, but I am not holding my breath.

I do not blame TR Knight one bit for wanting off the show. Nurse Tyler has more lines than he does. It's almost distraction when he shows up because you forget he is in the cast.

There were some promo shots from last night's episode that weren't in the show. I hate it when they cut pretty Sara scenes!

Yeah, I gave up on Private Practice, so I wouldn't know. Actually, I watched last week and didn't find it any better.

Yeah, the cut Sara stuff from the pictures made me a bit mad, but I know it isn't the end of the world. But then, maybe I'm glad they cut it as Callie's hair changes for the next episode, and she would have been wearing the same clothes as the cut scene.

I think I realized why I find Mark and Lexie gross. Okay, they talked the first time they had sex, but that seems to have been about it, besides having sex. I understand and realize that Mark and Callie were only sex too, but neither of them hid the fact that they were doing it. Mark doesn't want anyone to know about Lexie, so that is a problem right there. Also, Lexie is only 24, and Mark has to be in his late 30s to early 40s. I think it's just that they are both on totally different levels. I think if they were on the same level, it wouldn't look or seem as weird. And that is why I think Mark and Callie belong together. Plus, they just really get each other.

And, as for Callie and Arizona, I really hope this isn't going to be one of those things where it is just thrown at us out of nowhere, although we all know about it by now.

For some reason, I think Lexie is up to something. I don't know why or what, I just think she is. I just can't believe how they have just thrown T.R. Knight out of the loop. I saw Chondra Rhimes on Ellen and Ellen asked about that. She said "He's still there". I wonder if all of a sudden something is going to happen with George at the end of the season. It just seems strange that he has just been ignored.

Exactly. Lexie also hooked up with Alex last season as well.

Quite honestly, I think the creepiest parts of last night's episode were Lexie with Mark. They could have made Mark's injury more comical, since he made Lexie talk to Callie, and Callie did smirk a tiny bit after she found out what happened. Of course, it went wrong by having it be all Lexie with him.

I absolutely loved last nights show! I have been getting bored with Grey's lately, but last night perked my interest right up. I like that all the story lines are getting quirky. I love the cross-over idea next week with private practice. I liked where P.P. went last night too, finally sparking some interest for me.
