The Dog Whisperer
Any action movie with lots of stuff blowing up, cute guys coming to the rescue and really bad dialogue.

Romantic comedies. It's so easy for them to entertain me.

I love buying flowers for myself. Nothing fancy, just a simple bouquet from the floral section of my local grocery store.

"I love buying flowers for myself. Nothing fancy, just a simple bouquet from the floral section of my local grocery store."

That's no guilty pleasure - that's a necessity.

It's almost too embarassing to say out loud...

The Pussycat Dolls. I know I shouldn't but I love "Buttons."

'70's porn (Al Parker and Jack Wrangler were the hottest!)

Ebay (what I'm really guilty about is just how much I end up bidding on stuff)

Reality shows with all about hot guys, like VH1's "Strip Search"

Cheesy show scores like "Scarlet Pimpernell" and "Whoop-Up"

I don't know if I feel much guilt about anything else...

cheesy 80s movies

80s/90s hair bands

the Harry Potter and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books (I own them all)

a cheesy 90s tv show called Silk Stalkings (I own two seasons of it on dvd)

Vh1's I Love the 80s and I Love the 90s- no matter how many different ways they find to re-cut the same decade (...Strikes Back, ...3D, etc.) I will watch them ALL. Yet, I have never watched one episode of I Love the 70s.

^ I second VH1's I Love the 70's/80's/90's. I can't get enough of them.

Biopics about classic film stars, like The Rat Pack and Gable & Lombard. They never get the facts correct, but I love them anyway. And watch them whenever I get a chance.

I'll third "I Love the 70s/80s/90s". They are very fun to watch on weekends.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Especially if VH1 is running a marathon, then you have to watch the I Love... shows back-to-back, you just have to. And extra especially with my other guilty pleasure that I completely forgot to mention:

tiVo

I was a late convert to tiVo, but now I can not watch television without it- I have such problems when forced to watch tv in 'real time,' it's not even funny.

Papa, I would have preferred someone other than Mark Wahlberg as Bob the Nailer and still don't understand how, in my opinion Hunter's best book, Dirty White Boys never made it to the big screen.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body
