I want to go hiking next weekend to see the leaves in the mountains (I live along the Blue Ridge Parkway).

This is not my usual type of shot, but it appealed to me.

And yes, that photo definitely reminds me of that movie.
It's a very striking shot. Well done! (or should I say, "Brava!")

I wish I had some good photos to share, but none compare to some of them ones you've posted Besty. did you take them?

The ones I posted are just Google Images. I'm truly a fine artist when it comes to the old copy/paste of hyperlinks.

Monica being a dork:
Me, being a much bigger dork (and in serious need of a haircut):

My dad was a professional photographer in the late '50s/early /'60s. He worked for Life Magazine under Nina Leen (a famous photographer in her day). That's before he started work as a freelance cameraman for the three news networks, feature films, commercials, Candid Camera, and then a full-time gig on "The Patty Duke Show."

Cubanpab, the light bursting over the stone bridge almost looks animated.
I'm in awe of both of you.
