Fall colors in Colorado. Golden Aspens. A cold front moved in this past week so the Aspens gold color in some places didn't last as long. I was able to get up into the mountains right as they were starting to change a few weeks ago. however I did not take this pic!

Today was the most BEAUTIFUL fall day. I went for a stroll in the park this morning, and it was invigoratingly chilly and the leaves are gorgeous. It makes me so happy. 
I want to go hiking next weekend to see the leaves in the mountains (I live along the Blue Ridge Parkway).

I love fall! The pictures are all gorgeous! I love the leaf one, Jane! I love everything about fall, the leaves changing, my birthday (oct 30), halloween (favorite holiday ever!), thanksgiving... I mostly love the smell of crunchy leaves on the ground!

Jane2, your pics are incredible--they stimulate all da senses. The leaf in the pond is gorgeous and I think my new favorite, slightly surpassing that picture you once posted of that amazingly colorful duck.

What a nice thing to say, nygrl, and I thank you. You know, it gives me so much pleasure to just photograph that all I ask is that I can keep doing it. I'm not a business person so sales come when they come, but my entire thrill is in the discovering! it takes me out of this world! thanks again.

Not in many years! But I loved it as a young teen. I should revisit it!

LPF - is that Shenandoah Valley?? I went there 2 years ago when we were still living in DC, and it was the most incredble place I had ever been to, for the fall of course... amazing views everywhere you turned.
I wish I had some good photos to share, but none compare to some of them ones you've posted Besty. did you take them?

besty - i was referring to some of the ones you posted, i'm used to seeing janes photos, they're always great... but some of the ones you posted were fantastic and i thought maybe you had been holding out on us the whole time and were a great photographer!

cubanpab---I do take photos from time to time, but just for pleasure, not profit or profession. I grew up around it though!
My dad was a professional photographer in the late '50s/early /'60s. He worked for Life Magazine under Nina Leen (a famous photographer in her day). That's before he started work as a freelance cameraman for the three news networks, feature films, commercials, Candid Camera, and then a full-time gig on "The Patty Duke Show."
