Yes. A big one.
And according to Mugglenet, the Phoenix cast will be announced by WB next week.

I was actually a diehardest of diehards fan from the 8th grade until about...5 weeks ago, when I discovered The Chronicles of Narnia. Now I'm just a casual HP fan. But I did enjoy the fourth movie immensely (though it doesn't hold a candle to The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe
).

Posted: 2/2/06 at 1:37amI go through lulls when there's a long period between book or movie releases, but when there IS one, I'm totally obsessed.

Obsessed and obsessive.
I tend to read the books once a cycle.
Meaning, whenever I have a free moment.

It's such a marathon though, especially later on in the series - you need to have a clear few days to really focus. I read half of HP5 and then left it for a month. Now I have to read it all over again even though I know what I've already read. Obsessive compulsion. And HP5 is quite the chore!
BTW, I'll post the link for the rumored Kingsley. Oy.

I thought the Kingsley casting had been confirmed?
I actually get through the later ones faster than the early these days. I am beging to think Book 6 is in fact my favorite.
The OCD effects my reading as well though, I had to restart 4 twice this time.

I enjoyed HP5 quite a bit. A lot of people refer to it as the weaker link of the last 4, but I think it's one of the stronger books in the series.
I'd probably rank them in terms of my favorites as: 3, 5, 6, 4, 1, 2. (although, 2 got a tad more interesting with the tie in to 6.)

Posted: 2/2/06 at 1:46amI would say 3, 6, 4, 2, 1, 5.

6 or 3 (switching) 5, 4, 1, 2 for me.
It was the same as Pat's, but 6 took a real takeoff on my last read.

Posted: 2/2/06 at 1:51amHmm okay, I'd say 5 before 1. Maybe even before 2. Just because Luna was that good. And same with the Weasleys at the end.

Perhaps I should re-read 6. I am not sure if I read it more than once.
Of course, that means actually finishing Sondheim and reading the 3 library books I have here.
Tiff, did you read Killing Bono? I wonder if it's worth my time?
Okay, off to bed for REAL this time.
#13re: Harry Potter Fans
Posted: 2/2/06 at 1:55amKilling Bono? Nope. Sounds interesting!

I really am not all that fond of 2, relative to the others. I have not read Killing Bono either, not that anyone asked.
#15re: Harry Potter Fans
Posted: 2/2/06 at 2:04amI don't like 2 either. I liked the second movie though, because Jason Isaacs is fantastic. But the second book didn't do much for me.

Posted: 2/2/06 at 2:08amJason Isaaacs is superb. He steals every second he is on screen in these movies (not to mention in movies where he had more than 20 seconds on screen)

What about Resident Evil 2, Smarty
He has about 2-5 mins worth there.

His PTA movies are the best!
And he made The Patriot watchable. You almost root for him!

I can't watch the Patriot, but I like the idea of rooting for the ridiculous MADE UP figure Isaacs played.
As long as I see Mel suffer, but not in the "look at me suffering" way he wants.
I have never heard of, nor do I suspect I could stand a movie called "Resident Evil," Liir.

The only reason I watched "The Patriot" was to see Heath Ledger.
Issacs rox my sox; he undeniably sexy in Peter Pan.

Posted: 2/2/06 at 3:04amOk...this is probably a dumb question...but what is the Kingsley rumour? Sorry, I'm so behind on Potter News.

I guess it might not be a rumor but old news (unless this was revealed in December though, I don't know how old it could be because I'm usually on Mugglenet, hpana, Leaky-Cauldron and Veritaserum on a daily basis - Yes, LOSER, right here)
This is either the rumored or confirmed Kingsley.

ETA: Apparently I'm an idiot because it was confirmed and posted on Mugglenet on 1/30.

Posted: 2/2/06 at 3:55amOk! Thanks. I usually visit Mugglenet daily, too. So I guess we're both losers. I've just been busy with my baby, so no time for the internet.

Agreed! Isaacs is fantastic in the Potter films.
I just wish he had more screen name. Maybe after all of the films are out, assuming Malfoy is still alive which is a huge assumption, there can be a spinoff film.
