Love it. It deserves a better lead in though. The Cape is terrible

I really like it, The Cape as its lead in is gonna kill it.
Its a shame its not getting a higher demo, it would seem its a lot of older people that are watching the show.

Posted: 2/22/11 at 1:41amI watch because of Kathy Bates! I don't always love the storyline but it doesn't matter- Kathy makes the show!

Posted: 2/22/11 at 1:32pmI watched the first three or four episodes but had to give it up. It's just dreadful. I wanted to like it. I never could get past the fact that there was supposed to be a boarded up building in THAT neighborhood with $800 shoes inside and no one broke in... Not to mention that I am supposed to believe that a shop would EVER be selling $800 shoes in that neighborhood. They would be knock offs, at best. And as much as Harry hates the shoes, where are they getting more inventory? A shoe store would have a different business license than a law office. Blah, blah, blah. It's just too corny.

Posted: 2/22/11 at 2:15pmI thought the shoes were a fetishist's private archive- would explain the variety and the big bucks ( and the never having been worn)

I admit that sometimes it is a bit ridiculous, but I still enjoy it. Kathy Bates is the bee's knees, but I'm watching for the adorable and hilarious Nate Corddry. I've loved him since "Studio 60".
I believe sabrelady is right about the shoes. They came with the shop when they bought it.

Posted: 2/22/11 at 3:27pmYes, they came with the store but they said in the first episode that the former tenant moved out an left the shoes. In that neighborhood, they would have been gone. At least the landlord would have taken them. The idea that he just gave them to the new tenants is goofy. And they ar selling them. Where are the new ones coming from? Is there a warehouse full? We're talking tens of thousands of dollars worth of shoes. The shoes were a really stupid plot point.

"The idea that he just gave them to the new tenants is goofy."
This is a David E. Kelly show, cut it a little slack! lol

Love it. Especially when I heard the show was originally written for a man, but Kathy wowed them so much, they changed the gender of the lead character for her. I was wondering how Kelly was going to spin a new Boston lawyer series and I think the premise is delightful.

If I can buy all the other stuff that happened the pilot, the thing about the shoes is negligible. I'm just enjoying the ride.

Posted: 9/30/11 at 10:33amWho's still watching? Jean Smart is just too much fun so far. And Harry's "Oh, and f*ck you" to her, was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

Posted: 10/1/11 at 3:11pmI enjoyed the first season, but I think this one is far superior! Jean Smart is fantastic. Couldn't agree more about Harry's "Cee-Lo Green Moment". :)

Okay, so apparently this is old news but I just found out this show is cancelled.
NBC can go to hell.

Posted: 6/18/12 at 9:30pmThe suits cancelled it due to demographics. It appears this appealed to an older audience than they want. Another quality show goes down the drain.

I remember in the last episode, Harry said something like "And maybe if we're lucky, we'll get to do it all again next year." Guess not.
I loved the little inside winks and topical references. Hopefully David E.Kelley will come back with another great show, and Kathy might make her way to Broadway.
