Just curious because there have been such a massive amount of these shows I'm starting to meet people who have been on reality shows.
Edit: Oh, and naturally, it would be great to hear about your experience participating and so forth. =)
Not me. It might be interesting though.
It's my dream to go on THE AMAZING RACE. I'm gonna do it too, if I can find someone willing to go with me.
I am a Snooki. President Obama does not know what I am.
I've been crossing the paths of Work of Art art-testants like mad lately. Perhaps that's because I'm in the visual art world. Still, by the time I'm 80 years old, 50% of this country will be on a reality show I swear. It's outta control. Someday there will be a "Housewives of..." channel.
I have 5 PROJECT RUNWAY contestants living in my neighborhood, one I see all the time down in Chelsea and another I see most days when I go to work.
Jordan, I'll go on the Amazing Race with you.
Jordan, I'll go on the Amazing Race with you too. That show is awesome.
A friend from college and I actually applied for that show. We made a video, sent it in and everything. It was fun. He tried to convince me we needed a "shtick" to get on the show so he invented some big elaborate back story that we would talk about....how we dated and broke up and now I was dating his roommate. Then he said we would fake make out on the show to create more of a story line. It was too complicated for me.
I suggested we went with the "two good friends from college" shtick. Our video was actually pretty funny. Hmm. I wonder where it is. I have a suspicion it will show up at my wedding some day.
I want to go on with someone who I'm in a complicated relationship with and we're separated and think that being in the most stressful situations imaginable for a month will bring us closer together and all we do is fight and hit each other and try to secretly kill each other in the challenges. I think that will get people to tune in.
I'd hook up with another contestant too. Then sparks will fly.
I was at a restaurant while they were filming a new VH1 reality show a few months ago. They spent most of the time setting up and we left just as they actually starting filming. That's as close as I've gotten, and as close as I want to get.

Nope, never been in one. If I were to be in on a reality show, it wouldn't be one where it's a one time thing and I become a nobody after it's done (i.e. Real World, Survivor, etc). If I'm signing away my life to the reality TV gods, then I better benefit from it in the end.
Oh, and I've concluded I would be the "boring one" that wouldn't film dates, relationships, family, real friendships, etc.

Nope, but I almost auditioned for American Idol this week (I ended up not going).
Oh, but I was interviewed by the news when my 8th grade vocal teacher won Star Search!
We can all audition to be Jordan's partner. Then, on the show we can be identified as "Broadway message board companions."
For what it's worth, I can eat the scorpions and such or do highwire/bungee type things, but if it's diving or unrolling haystacks, you gotta do it.
When I was a pharmaceutical rep, I went to a national product launch and met Survivor Contestant Penny Ramsey- she was the really cute little blonde who wore her hair in side braids. She was on the 3rd or 4th season- the ex-adult film star guy won that year. Anyway, she was also a rep with my company and brought publicity shots of herself to give out to people. That was a little weird but she was very nice.
I actually met a few people from "The Real World" when they came to my college for their talk tours or whatever you would call them. Fortunately, none of them seemed awful.
I need to be on either the Bachelor or Bachelorette now. I feel like I'm the only person I know who is not engaged or seriously seeing someone. One of my sisters just got married a month ago, and now my older sister is engaged.
Marianne, aren't you 25? You're too old for the Bachelor/ette. The women who need ABC's help finding a husband are clearly the pretty petite blonde 23 year olds.
Personally I have not, but personally I know two folks who have been on them.
Mondo in this season of PR used to work in the costume shop of a theatre I worked at. He built my Cat in the Hat costume for Seussical. Yes, I've worn a Mondo original.

My 5th grade teacher was a contestant on the Bachelorette -- she got booted off pretty quickly though :)

My daughter and I did make it to the AI auditions Tuesday and given all the filler and prep stuff they did before the actual auditions began, there's a chance we might make a "see that speck in the corner--that's us!" cameo come January.
BTW, she didn't make it through. Of the 10-17,000 people who showed up, only 200 supposedly made it to the second round. Gave us a nice peek into how random and deceptive the whole process is, though.
Nope, I'm just waiting for Bravo to make a spin-off of NYC PREP called "DC THEATRE DORK."
But I was on Jeopardy Kids' Week when I was twelve years old... that was a lot of fun, it was a chance for me to take my first trip to a Disney park, and it's covering my first year of college.
I've been applying to be on the Amazing Race since year one.
I've had three friends on reality shows. Alison Irwin was on Big Brother 4, Amazing Race 5 and Big Brother Allstars. Erika Shay was on season 5 of the Amazing Race. Chet Welch was on Survivor Micronesia. My friend Paul made it all the way to final call back for Survivor Africa.
I was on the Gene London and Sally Starr shows in Philadelphia when I was 6, if that counts.

I had cousins on Family Feud when Richard Dawson was hosting.
Had? Did they get all Italian and kill each other.
Something like that
