Wow. everyone's doing such amazing stuff. Millie would have to be my dream role :)
We're doing A Chorus line and Cats this year, but last year we did Into the Woods, and I was Cinderella, which was AMAZING.

Ugh my school decided to pick High School Musical of all things, AND they decided to open the auditions to the whole school, rather than just the students in fine arts classes. I almost feel sorry for whoever is casting because there will be so many people that show up unprepared and not understanding how much is expected of them at the auditions.
But in the past few years we've done Seussical, Into the Woods, and Joseph so I guess I can't complain, and we do have a really active community theater (we'll be starting Little Shop soon)

Posted: 11/10/06 at 7:59pmUmm...with auditions a little over a month away, our director *still* doesn't know what we're doing. He wanted The Wiz, but it was too expensive. He mentioned The Music Man the other day...and, gah. I hope not. But whatever, as long as we do something.

Posted: 11/12/06 at 9:56pmugh! My auditions are tomorrow and I'm freaking out! For the past few years there have been parts created for people who just dance and that's always worked out in my favor because I'm a dancer so I've always gotten a part. This year, we don't have that so I'm going to have to sing for my audition. I'm nervous because I'm not too great at singing, I'm not bad, but I'm not good either. Hopefully I'll get a spot in the chorus. Plus, there's like 120 kids trying out for a 30-40 part cast

We're doing Pippin! Thank GOD! I heard some rumblings of maybe doing The Music Man, and I loathe that show, so this makes me happy.

I was just cast as Noah and an orphan in a community theater production of Oliver!, so I go into rehersal for that next month.
For our spring musical we are doing Into The Woods. We have auditions in a couple weeks and I am really excited. Hopefully it wont be to stressful performing Oliver! on the weekend while doing rehersals for Into the Woods on weekdays... :/

Our Drama play this year was "Register Here"
(Murder mystery comedy based on Clue, if you've heard of it let me know.)
And our Musical is going to be Beauty & the Beast,
signing up is done, audition start next 2 weeks.

auditions for the World Premire of Miss Saigon are tomorrow... im gonna be sick to my stomach! ah!
Unfortunately (For me,) Kim will be cast asian, so I have no shot at that... but I'm hoping for Ellen! It's my last musical in high school! eehhh...
