First year, we did oliver. this year, we did Seussical.

I'm graduating, but I just found out what my school's musical is for next year... (We did Forum this year)

i've been really lucky that the director has made such good decisions about which shows to do! i have yet to be dissapointed about any of his choices

Our high school doesn't do musicals anymore because our director claims that none of our guys can sing and she told us that she doesn't like musicals anyway. Surely there are musicals out there that don't have very many guy roles.

OK...seriously I hate everyone on this board...

My school, hasnt done a real musical at all this year

We did Spoon River Anthology (Which is the WORST play ever, and had 3 songs so it counted as our musical) and Fools (which I didnt get casted in, hopefully, because I'm still an 8th grader).

Next year she is only looking at three musicals: Hoot, A Year With Frog and Toad, and Bring in the Noise (which makes no sense because it calls for mainly black/latino cast...we have 1 african american interested in theater).

Oh and P.S. Our sets usually look like...a elementary school's cafatorium leftovers.

And P.P.S. Hair and Grease were too contreversal and Chorus Line was put down before being read through the 4th song...Future looks BAD!!!

Last year we did "Seussical", this year we did a tribute to Bob Fosse (so we just pulled songs from a bunch of his shows)

we just finished Birdie and next year..............

for fall show (which is always smaller cast)...........GODSPELL

and spring musical........................THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE!!!!!!!!!!

im soooooo happy!!!!!

We're doing Grease. which scares me cuz we don't have strong boys but we have amazing girls. hopefully we can pull it off. Its actually the third time the school has done it since the mid 1980s or so. you'd think we could be more original.

This comes from other years when we've done Into the Woods, Peter Pan, Schoolhouse Rock Live, Smile (gag), and Moby Dick the Musical. we've even done Superman the Musical way back when.... who does that? :)

they just announced our season next year....

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

we're doing Little Women: The Musical in the fall (OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

and Miss Saigon: School Edition in the spring...

Saigon we get to do the first school edition original cast recording... i cannot believe it. We have no asians, tho... hmmm??

then our straight show is Grapes of Wrath and then 2 smaller blackbox shows. It's gonna be one helluva senior year...

Our musical for next year is Little Shop. I'm very excited, but the problem is I'm not a good singer. I've been in the musical the past two years because they had parts for dancers and the director said there won't be parts for dancers this year. Maybe my voice will improve and I can get a part.(I really hope I do because it will be my senior year)

This year we did Cinderella........SO popular! we sold out almost every show, and all these little girls came for a birthday party! They were dressed up and everything. Adorable. Really recommended.

Next year we're doing Crazy for You..I haven't heard of it, but my mom says its good. Y'all know what it is?

We did Fiddler on the Roof this year. I was Fruma-Sarah. Worst. Role. Ever.

As for next year... we don't find out what show we're doing the day flyers for auditions go up, which is normally 2 days before auditions.

we're doing Disneys Beauty in the beast in the fall for our musical, even though i love the show, (i've seen it at least 3 times and the show at MGM at disney a lot) i don't know if i'm going to do it or our community theatre's shows

Crazy For You's music is by George Gershwin...who wrote the score of Porgy and Bess and Babes in Arms

Last year my high school did "Seussical" and this year we did "Into the Woods". I loved doing both shows, but "Seussical" was better in my opinion because we did more dancing and there were more ensemble roles. I have no idea what we're doing next year for our fall play or the spring musical. For the fall play this year it was "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". I didn't do it though.

This past year we did You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and City of Angels. Before that we've done Seussical, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cinderella, Carousel, Wizard of Oz, Once Upon a Mattress... and I can't remember any more.

The drama is Noises Off- I had a callback for it on friday. I'm finding out if I got in tomorrow *fingers crossed*

And I believe that the musical this year is Wizard of Oz. Not sure which version though.
