Les Miz: SE! The info is below.

dramatothemax - I've seen your Millie pics and now your BATB - do you go to a performing arts school or something? Or do you rent your sets? Wow. Ours are always really good, but we make them ourselves and you can usually tell.

Yeah I do hahah Beauty and the Beast we didn't rent them. But the costumes and sets were professionally done, and another school used them before us. But when we got them ,we altered them to make them more stable, fixed costumes etc.

But we make all of our other sets ourselves. (our tech majors anyways haha)

Well, my high school changed it's musical from Music Man to Les Miserables S.E. I'm Cosette. Things aren't looking good. Today, we were rehearsing "Marius & Cosette." My casts Marius, Valjean, and I sung through it and made it through some rough spots. On the other hand, the three kids we're double cast with sang it and they ended the song like this:

Cosette: I don't know any of this!
Marius: I hate this!
Valjean: *throws score across the room*

At least we keep things interesting!

Oh, and our Gavaroche is seven and about 3 feet tall. He's really good though.....

My high school is currently doing "Grease"...ha, yippee. I'm playing Rizzo, which is different from any other role I've ever played.

Our high school just heard today that we're representing the state of Washington at the International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh Scotland the summer of 2007 for theater! We are all very excited.

Our school was about to do "Little Shop of Horrors", but we couldn't acquire the rights. Shame. I was looking foward to auditioning for the plant. Instead, we did six one act plays.

Next year, I don't know what our drama teacher has in store for a musical, although I do know that he is trying to acquire the rights for "The Princess Bride" so he can adapt it for the stage.

You insult me, I ignore you. That's how the system works around here.

Out of the history of my school we have only done one musical: You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. I know it's kinda sad. Most schools do about two per year but we have only done one since the school was built. They did Charlie Brown about 3 years ago and the people that did it litterally had to go to the school board and request permission to do it. Ever since then they haven't done another one. re: High School Musicals I think we're like the only school in history that doesn't have an annual school musical.
