Good LORD, that reads like something Edward G. Robinson would have said in a noir flick!

You need a scotch neat and a Pall Mall. And a titch of Barbra/Judy doing you-know-what.

I'm trying, PalJoey, I'm trying... just trying to remind all the Hilldawg supporters how much worse the Republican alternative is and what a strong position Democrats are in! We're polling ahead on all the issues so make this an election about issues.

Brd, I think the real question is whether Richardson (slash latinos) can deliver Texas, which is apparently a swing state now. Or any number of places with a latino majority.

I don't want to be told how rotten the other guy is. I'm lookin' fer a little candy and flowers. A hug, maybe. SOME WARMTH--is that so wrong?

PJ, the man has managed to gather 1.5 million individual contributors, more than any person in US primary history.

He has managed to defeat THE name in Democratic politics, a Clinton, which is the Southern version of a Kennedy. No small feat....

He has brought untold thousands of new voters to the party.

Even if you think he's a fake, his organizational skills are top-notch.

He draws thousands of people to his rallies and inspires them (and me) more than anyone else in politics (well, Ann Richards comes close for me too).

I said some very nice and sincere things about Hillary...just because I don't support her doesn't mean she wouldn't be good.

re: Hillary STILL hasn't gotten the message!

in actuality, her staying in the race is better for obama if she wins west Virginia and Kentucky. Someone (youwantit?) said this last night. And he'll likely hit the 2025 mark with Oregon making it the voters choosing him, not the superdelegates.

So, let's chill and let the process finish. As long as she doesnt go negative, its not hurting and lets every voter left feel part of this.

You did? When? All I remember were your comparisons to Lady Macbeth.

re: Hillary STILL hasn't gotten the message!

I honestly don't believe she'll go negative. I watched her speech today in Morganstown, and her press conference. She has strategically put all of the "my opponent" talk aside, and I believe she'll continue to do so. I believe she'll wisely throw the kitchen sink at McCain, who should have the kitchen sink at Buckingham Palace tossed his way.

PJ, for warmth and solace, may I suggest something from the lady we both agree on? Ms. Williamson's newest book on midlife (uh, unless, you know, you maybe had some access already...) It got me through the dark winter of 08.

"She is very intelligent and could have defeated Obama long ago. She is an excellent politician who ran a poor campaign (both financially and philosophically).

I think she'll have a long political career if she plans her next few moves right. "

There you go, opus.

Thanks for the flowers, mejust, but I'd rather you just remove that ancient and silly signature line--frankly I can't even remember what it refers to.

And Auggie--Marianne Williamson?!? I'm trying to go cold turkey from the Bitch from Arkansas and you're sending me to the Bitch from God?

(And brd--thanks for the shirtless picture but GROSS!--skinny arms and a flat chest have never done it for me.)

re: Hillary STILL hasn't gotten the message!

Supposedly there is a thought around that Hillary will stay in long enough to batter him so badly he loses to Mc Cain . She than goes in 2012 as the favorite

This was what she did in 2008. Obama or someone like him could be there to block her in 2012. She wants desperately to be Presidents but I doubt she ever will.

re: Hillary STILL hasn't gotten the message!

Actually, conventional wisdom is that she stays in so Obama and she can make a deal for her debts to be paid off, and for her to get a stronger position in the senate.

Perhaps I'm in the minority here but I still believe she's ideal to head up the DNC. She'd be a helluva fundraiser.

re: Hillary STILL hasn't gotten the message!

You think Donna Brazile and Howard Dean would LET her anywhere NEAR the DNC?!?!?

They've spend the last 4 years assasinating her character and political position. They HATE her more than the Republicans do!

"They've spend the last 4 years assasinating her character and political position. They HATE her more than the Republicans do!"

They ENVY her more than the Republicans and Pelosi do. There's so much I could write about the topic but I'm going to exercise some restraint. Full disclose (well, somewhat): a former boss of mine and Ms Brazile are bff's.

Neither Dean nor Ms Brazile inspired any confidence in me the minute the DNC starting lineup changed. HRC as DNC Chair would have sued even the alligators in FL when the Repub-led state legislature crafted the machinations that led to the present mess.

re: Hillary STILL hasn't gotten the message!

Well, not that it matters anyway, but since Pal Joey and jrb who are two people I admire and respect immensely, are now Obama supporters, I do feel a bit strange for still liking Hillary ! They were the ones who convinced me (without knowing it) that I had made a right choice !

re: Hillary STILL hasn't gotten the message!

if she drops I am voting McCain. obama is a black Jimmy Carter and that is not a good thing.

re: Hillary STILL hasn't gotten the message!

Ok, forgive my ignorance, but if she loses the race, is her political career over, at least for running for president ever again ? While, if she runs as VP, she can run again for the presidency in 8 years, right ? Wouldn't it be the wisest move to run as VP ? What's the drawback ? Please enlighten a foreigner re: Hillary STILL hasn't gotten the message!
