Does anyone know where in the theatre they're situated? It's kind of hugely important.
Thank you. =)

Every time I've bought them (at least 5 or 6 times) they're in one of the side boxes, which they claim have "limited visibility." In my experience the sightlines are fine from the boxes, although I'm a little worried about Sweeney Todd since it's so frontally-blocked.
I've had seats in pretty much every part of the theatre. The ones I most frequently get, however, are either in the boxes, lke thenewmoon stated or the aisle seats orchestra. I think it kinda depends on when you get them. But every seat I've had was good, and completely worth it (especially since the price is so good).
I have gotten tickets to the far right or left on the aisle in the first few rows, or balcony tickets.
Other friends have gotten the box seats.
For $20, you can't complain!
Rather than start a new thread... I've never been to the Ahmanson before, (I'm asking these questions just based on the seating chart), and for those who have been:
- what is the view like from the balcony, how high is it? If any of you have also been to the Palace Theatre here in NYC, I get serious vertigo being up in the Palace balc, wondering if the Ahmanson is comparable
- the seating chart says mezz row A overhangs orch row R, which sounds far back to me, yet mezz is supposed to be the best location to see A Chorus Line from- would you prefer sitting in mid orch, or front mezz, at the Ahmanson?
Thx!

The top of the balcony at the Ahmanson is very, very far from the stage; it's farther than the top of the balcony at the Palace but much less steep. My problem with sitting there is not so much the height but the need to use binoculars!
For Chorus Line, I would think that either mid orch or front mezz would work; I'd avoid boxes or side orch because in such a frontally-oriented (word?) show, the sightlines would be a problem if you sat to the extreme side. But I'd still take boxes over rear balc.
^ thanks so much for that info! Especially re: the comparison to the Palace balcony, that was very helpful!!
The one caution would be to make sure you are in front of the Mez overhang when in the Orchestra. It only really matters for rear, orchestra, but just check to make sure that you are not near the overhang, because it messes with the acoustics.
FYI.. for South Pacific they are also selling extreme front, front, side orchestra seats. They label them as limited view.. but if I remember correctly .. I have sat in row B all the way on the side and have had a full view.

Hot tix at the Ahmanson is a fantastic deal! If you call the ticket office they will very patiently explain how the system works.
Would anyone know about Orchestra E Row, seat 1 abd 2, vs Mezz, Box E seat 101 and 102. Are the two locations equally good?
