As I suspected there are no others with my name...but this thing is definitely bogus since it didn't even find anyone with my first name, which is a fairly common Hebrew name.

I'm actually the only one...weird. My first name is really common (there are 194,980 others with the first name Erica) and it goes well with the sound of my last name, so I'm surprised. Actually, in high school I found another girl whose last name was very similar-sounding and we shared our first name. When we introduced ourselves it sounded so alike it was like "whoa..."
But anyway, there are 2,100 people with my last name, I knew there wouldn't be a lot.
And when I google myself, I get a ton of stuff about this singer in Italy.

Posted: 10/18/06 at 2:24pmI'm the only one iwth my name. But my first name is super common, my last name is pretty unusual, though. When I google stuff, the only thing that comes up is stuff about the Abercrombie and Fitch girlcott I was involved in last year. I'm really surprised, actually, that there would be about 900 people in the country with my last name. I thought it was less common than that.

I know it's already been mentioned that this thing can't be 100% correct, but I just thought I'd point out that I tried my mother's maiden name and it says that there is absolutely no one in the country with that last name...and her family has been here at least since Revolutionary War times, so they're kinda mistaken...
Eh, it's still cool to look and get some sort of figure, if they have it in their database.

I, on the other hand, share my name with 470 other people in the US. And I'm guessing that's a low number.
...which is why I usually add my middle name in professionally (as I did with Equity and ASCAP, as well as DVD credits)... because I know of four other people with my first and last name working in Hollywood alone.

Posted: 10/18/06 at 2:56pmI decided to put in both my first and middle name. It's Mary Ellen and that's what my family used to call me when I was little. I then put in my last name which is a little unusual. it came back and said there were no people in the country with that full name. The really weird thing is that I've run into my name on two different occasions. One was in a magazine I was looking at and saw that one of the editors had my exact name - first, middle and last. Then a few years later I was in Las Vegas and went to cash a check at the hotel where I was staying. They wouldn't cash it because they had a record that I had bounced a check in a different casino a couple of years before. Not only had I never cashed a check in Las Vegas before, I had never set foot in that other casino. But again - someone with my first, middle, and last name had done just that. I have no idea who they are - but I do know that they're out there!

No one has my name. But go to France, and probably every other person will.
I share my name with a college professor who does famous research on...you guessed it, sex. Besides that, every single website that comes up on Google is in French.
