Ugh, no. This is what sucks the most about college these days...companies set up "case studies" with classes and it's essentially slave labor. We get graded and that's it.
It's OK though, I'm at the point where I don't really know nor care what I'm writing anymore, so it's going much faster. What is everyone else up to?
Hah. It feels like 70% of my friends are at the Kids Choice Awards right now, and I'm about to go do another stinkin' show of Get Smart. I know it's not the Oscars or anything, but I'd rather be there than onstage, hahah...
It feels like 70% of my friends are at the Kids Choice Awards right now
What?! How?!
Hah, that's what happens when you live in LA and are mostly friends with other actors.
"that's what happens when you live in LA"
I'm officially jealous. I want to move out to L.A. when I graduate, but I'd bottom out in about a week with all those drugs and hot, sleazy musicians around.
Where in the city are you, VT?
I'm in Hancock Park, JAG. =) It's mostly old white guys and their families over here, so I think you'd do juuust fine, hehe.
Well, I'm being forced to watch the Kids Choice Awards on TV (well, my kids are watching, I just hear it in the background). Just another exciting Saturday night!!
At least I had a couple of mojitos ahead of time....
I'm thisclose to watching it just because I feel left out if I don't watch every award show that's on.
But Law & Order: SVU is making it hard for me to pull myself away.
dan, a mojito sounds amazing. Oh my god.
Best drink ever.
Omg, today has been so long!
Oh danmag, did Chris Brown perform? I know there was a huge petition going around protesting his performance
No, I believe he backed out...
Oh good! I have never been a fan of him. I used to work at FYE at the mall here, and he would come in about once a month and have the girls swarm over him (why? I still don't understand) but he brought Rihanna several times... that was an excitement for us I guess, and she actually came to FYE (thankfully while I wasn't there) and apparently she is really rude
Ooh, really, Piano? I used to do Big Brothers Big Sisters and my little was obsessed with Chris Brown (she was thirteen). I asked her all the time why, and she said he was cute. That wasn't the answer I was looking for, because I totally didn't see it even before this whole beating thing either. I think he is talented, though, even if it's not at all my kind of music. Rihanna, not so much. That girl is a prime example of PR at its best.
Oh, yes really... it was always so annoying because our mall sucked and you know he came just for attention, because 15 minutes further is a really, REALLY nice mall, but no one there would be able to recognize him.
My friend and I have perfected the mojito.
It took many, many, mojitos..but all worth it!
VonTgirl,I'm from LA, too!
We make these things in the summer called Wedge-ito's.
They are perfect for around the pool!
What is a wedge-ito? I'm picturing potato wedges with lime and mint or something..
jag, did you see that Jimmy Fallon is trying to get all the cast of Saved By The Bell on his show? He's begging and pleading.lol!I didn't know that they have all never reunited anywhere since the show ended.
No way, clever! I might actually have to sit through his show if he pulls that one off...although it's hard for me to look at Dustin Diamond now after I was coerced into watching "Screeched." Ew.
Yes, what is a Wedge-ito? I'm intrigued!
Hello girls!
Well, Grease is done. It was a major blast! I got flowers from the cast which was sweet. The cast party was pretty sweet... it was at our Danny's house and we ate a ton of food and played Guitar Hero. When I had to leave the WHOLE CAST gave me this massive group hug!!
I am trying to figure out what to do about next year though.
I was originally not going to do the show next year because I might be going to AMDA in NYC, but I had a bunch of people from the cast ask me to come back. I kinda don't know what to do... part of me thinks it would be smart to get out of town for a while and learn something, but another big part of me wants to go back because I know that I can do something worth while there.
What to you wonderful ladies think I should do?
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
Kels, it sounds like the show was a resounding success! Congrats!
OK, a wedge-ito. Wegmans has a drink that is similar to Fresca (grapefruit soda). So you mash up a bunch of fresh mint leaves and put them in the pitcher. Then the juice of 3-4 limes. Then a cup (or more...LOL) of rum. Then 3-4 cans of Diet Wedge. I can't remember the exact proportions. Then pour it over ice and "voila!" We usually start with those around 1 PM when we have people over to swim. Yeah. We're lushes.
Awww, I know it's bittersweet Maisie. Break a leg!!
Wow, Maisie! Life without BATB will be weird, won't it? Make sure you write all about Panama City-- I don't know anyone who's been there.
I used to work at FYE at the mall here, and he would come in about once a month and have the girls swarm over him
Oh my gosh, I know so many girls who talk about seeing Chris Brown at the mall. He probably pops into every mall in Virginia.
