Well, maybe we can plan one for March 11!
That would be lovely. :)
Back from the 97th birthday party for my friend's mother. It was very lovely-open house, people coming in and out.
I'm exhausted and happy to be on the couch !
Now, what to see? That is the question!
"Man, I'm not really a girly girl either"
I'm glad to hear that, Weez. I hate being the only one!
If you look at my bedroom, I don't think you could tell if it was a male or female's room.
hmm, is Weezie even awake at this hour, her time?
I will let you choose.
Oh no! This will haver to be a "collaborative process"!
Decision making is not one of my skills.
Alright, off to get drunk. Ish. At a concert, not in my apartment, worry not.
I'll start "thinking" while you're out "drinking."

Jane, you and Weez aren't alone. While I do have my extremely girly moments...I can roll with just a t-shirt and jeans. Mind you a very cute T from AE, Aero, Pacsun, Hollister or Steve & Berry's. A couple months ago I went to S&B's for their going out of business sale and bought like 9 or 10 pairs of super cute jeans for $9 each!!! It was the Holy Grail of shopping days for me. Of course I don't spend much these days, only if it's a PUMP emergency and I absolutely *have* to have a pair of shoes.
11.15 in the pm, and planning on going to bed soon, if only this DVD of 2 Henry VI would end. Shakespeare wrote some very LONG plays. XD
I'm not even very good at shoes. I have a pair of flat black maryjanes which I wear when singing with a choir, a pair of heeled maryjanes that I can't find, a pair of houndstooth heels that I bought on a bit of a whim and would love to wear more but can't find the opportunity to, and a pair of khaki Skechers maryjanes, which are half-shoe, half-trainer (sneaker).
Beyond that, it's all boots for me! I love boots. :3 I had these two great pairs of black boots with buckles, one pair in leather and one in pleather, and I wore both pairs to death. The pleather pair is peeling, and the leather pair fell apart. XD I only have one pair of boots with heels, but they look startlingly similar to the two deceased pairs. XD I'm currently wearing my chunky brown ones that have a buckle across the front where leg meets foot. I also have a pair of black and purple New Rocks, which are both the heaviest and the most comfortable pair of footwear I own, and a tall tan pair of boots with buckles around the top. There's definitely more, but those are the ones that have been worn recently.
I need to find some Skechers boots. The wonder of boots combined with the comfort of Skechers? I can only dream of the fabulousness!
I'm all about the yoga pants. Yoga pants, a velour hoodie, and flip flops (if it's warm).
I'd wear yoga pants to work if they let me. That's ALL I wear at home. (Unless it's hot. Then I wear yoga shorts.)
Stockard, we need to do some emailing about April.
While everyone is making get-together plans, Miss P. please get in touch if you are back in Philly! I'd love to meet you!
Yoga pants are incredible. I don't even know how many pairs I have...they're totally comfortable and really flattering, too. My ass doesn't look half as good in jeans!
It's going to be in the 50s this week, so I'm bringing my various pairs of flip-flops out in full force. I have to go home for the weekend though, and it's a lot colder there...figures that I'll be missing out on the great weather.
Dan, I will be visiting Philly in the Spring. Probably May. Or maybe July. It depends. (My schedule hasn't belonged to me for 13 years now!) My husband insists that there are no fireworks ANYWHERE as good as Philly's for the 4th of July!
He and I met at the Valley Green Inn. We used to go back every May 17 to "celebrate" that day. I don't even know if it's open anymore! (I love Fairmount Park.)
Do your kids like to go to the theatre? There are quite a few good ones in Philly.
I'm gonna send you an email, too.
Miss P, my kids go to school in Chestnut Hill! I'm there all the time! My older son likes to see musicals (all the mainstream ones), so I try to take him every so often. I'm almost positive the Valley Green Inn is still open - such a small world!!
Good evening, all. Just thought I'd pop in and say hello and join the girl fun. My, this thread has really grown! I haven't gone back and read through it all, but I figure that I'll just catch up as we go.
Hi, IAM!
This thread has already had a profound impact on my life. Every time I walk into my closet and see my 76 pairs of shoes, I feel horribly guilty while also thinking, "I need to buy something to better organize all my shoes!"

Jag, you should totally high tail it down here to NC, it's gonna be in the 60s & 70s this week. I've been wearing my flip flops for a couple weeks now cuz the weather here is phenomenal!!! I'd love to be back up north where all the action is and get some White Castle...but the weather here...you can't beat it.
Why Hello IAM, how's it going?
Yeah, so tofu, I'm glad to hear you're not that much of a girly girl either!
Weez-I have very wide feet, so I'm limited to what shoes I can wear. At my age I don't want to be screaming out in pain so I wear what's comfortable. Mostly sneakers.
All in all, I worry about being invited to something which requires getting dressed up, I have NO dressy clothes nor shoes!
No, about getting together-I'll be pming you guys~
WOW I missed so much! I was gone the whole weekend visiting a few of my buds at their college, it was a lot of fun.
I'm not really a girly girl either. I think I would be but I'm too lazy to make a real effort unless it's a special occasion.

Wow Shannon, I must say I'm surprised that there are more of us non girly girls than I thought. I thought I'd be the only one.
I wore tights and big t shirts at birth.

Hmmm...that's weird. I think I popped out with fishnets and peep toes feet first. Oh well, I've since toned it down to just mildly Whore-ish and Hooker-fied.
Lol exactly Jane. I can't remember the last time I wore a dress. I adore dresses and think they're so cute, but I never have a real reason to wear one. Also, I like my hair when it's curled (I have very straight hair) but it takes so much time.
