Good Morning, girls!
Im trying a non fat no whip white chocolate mocha this morning. Im lovin' it! I gained 3 pounds so I may go back to Weight Watchers.
and Schmerg, I ,too, have dropped things into the toilet. You are not alone!
Mmm that sounds delicious clever! And I know how you feel, I need to get back into the routine of working out regularly and eating right.
Did you know that Schools in the US were not fully integrated until 1970????
Thats just crazy to me.
I feel the same way! I can't believe that it took until the 70s! I always feel like the Civil Rights Movement was FOREVER ago, when it wasn't at all!

Maisie that IS super crazy.
I'm not sure I could have handled being in a non-integrated school. I've always had this thing about being friends with people from all walks of life. Different races, religious beliefs, polar opposites of my own personality... I love knowing new and different people all the time, I think it makes me a more well-rounded individual.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a town that had a military base, so a lot of my friends were army brats. Unfortunately with that comes the fact that they often had to just pick up and move in the middle of the year sometimes. But I still feel fortunate to have had such good people around me.
:EDIT: My, my how rude of me!! And with that I bid you all a good morning
We elected our first African American President (although, in my opinion, his race shouldn't even need to be mentioned)
OMG I totally agree! I remember saying to my mom when he was elected, "Why is everyone making such a big deal about his race? It doesn't even matter." And she was like "Oh no, it's a big deal. This is huge." But I didn't really get it LOL I guess that just means I was raised with an open mind!

I completely agree race shouldn't matter for Obama and certainly not for anyone else.
That statement actually reminded me of this guy I knew in High School named Rodney, he was Caucasian and generally just a dim-witted but overall nice guy. One day we were hanging by the coke machines and I must have said something that really struck a cord with him. Because the next thing I know he turns to me and says: "Hey you're pretty cool for a black girl!!"
I furrowed my brow and slowly said "Thannnnnnkkkkk Yooouuuu?" He made it sound like I was cool because I was black. I already know I'm cool, I'm black, and a girl...thanks for the news flash!!
But later he told me he said it because his father was some sort of Grand or Imperial Wizard in the Klan who'd been basically force feeding him crap all his life about "different" people. After that we actually became good friends, but I never went to his house for tea...if you know what I'm sayin'.

LOL!!
Masie, haven't you seen Remember the Titans?
I think so.
Well a big part of that was that the schools had just been integrated, and the white and black football players at first didn't want to play with each other and how they overcame it.
That school was about 10 miles from my high school. Of course it was when I was about 4 so I wasn't in HS. In fact one of the teams they play in the movie was my old HS.
I don't believe I've ever seen that. What's it about? Besides your HS I mean.
Aww I love Radio! I haven't seen it in years!
And the movie Mean Girls is about the public high school I would have gone to, but I chose Catholic school haha
So I bookmarked that "This is why you're fat" website and I thought our drinkers would appreciate this. Though I can't decide if I'm disgusted or intrigued...
The McNuggetini
A McDonald’s chocolate milkshake with vanilla vodka, rimmed with BBQ sauce and garnished with a chicken McNugget.
Oh wow! Radio was a good movie. And Titans was a great movie.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High was about a school in my district, about the same time I was in high school. Cameron Crowe went undercover as a student for an entire year. That movie totally reflects my high school life!!
OK, BB. Maybe if you take away the bbq sauce and mcnugget I could work with it....
I saw that a few days ago, blondebaby. It's disgusting, for sure, but...I have a weird thing for McNuggets. I LOVE them. They are the only thing I'll eat at McDonald's. I'd take a chance.
I've never seen Radio, but I've seen Remember the Titans a million times. And Fast Times at Ridgemont High is probably my fourth favorite movie of all time (yes, I have a ranked list).
How's everyone today? I should be cramming for a midterm I have in...15 minutes. Oh well.
ok..I get the chicolate part..but the Mcnugget and BBQ sauce make it a Hillbilly Martini. That is gross!!
Uggg... Now the boyfriends seems perfectly cool with me moving up there! *sigh* boys are ridiculous. LOL
I think I am going to go see "He's Just Not That Into You" with my mom tonight. Has anyone seen it yet?
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P.
