Amazon have finally sent me my Oz boxset. See, it's *like* I'm watching a hard-hitting HBO prison drama... except it's pretty much soft-core porn to me. Marvellous stuff! I don't think I'll be leaving my room for a few days.
(Damn having to sleep, pee, shower, and work.

Aw, tell me about it! I mean, I'm an Alvarez girl myself, but I don't think it's possible to not love O'Reily. I especially enjoyed that period where he started hanging around with Keller - now THAT was HOT. :3

No, but I hear it's totally addictive. And porn-ish!

I actually used to like J.K. Simmons as the ring leader of the Aryan Nation gang on Oz...which is crazy weird cuz I'm black. I dunno...
As a side note: right now I'm seriously rockin' out to "Groove is in the Heart" by Deee-lite. OMG I forgot how addictive and awesome this song is!!! It's taking me forever to type this cuz I can't stop dancing!!!

YES. AND IT'S MAKING ME WANT TO PUNCH THE SCREEN.
And I'm like the most pacifist, nonconfrontational person you'll ever meet, so that's saying something.

Posted: 2/18/09 at 3:57pmTofu, he was SO scary in that part. I really loved all of them....Great show. I think you might still be able to watch it on demand on Comcast...

Schillinger baffles me no end. I mean, he's a nasty nasty nasty piece of work. But... but... but he's so goshdarn entertaining! I genuinely can't tell if I love him or hate him! I think it's probably a heady mix of the two.
Personally, I reckon that's a sign of a great TV show - when it not only has characters you love, but also has characters who you'd never want to be friends with but you just can't stop watching. I feel the same way about half the cast of Battlestar Galactica as well. XD
('kay, you ladies better change the subject while I take a shower; seriously, I can talk about Oz for HOURS when lef unchecked. XD)

I haven't really had anything to contribute to the threat today...but I figured I'd say hi anyway!

Ummm...ok
I'm about to watch Young Frankenstein or maybe Blazing Saddles. There's really nothing on TV right now so I may as well laugh my a** off while watching some classic Mel Brooks.
That's the best I can do Weez...work with it..

Weez, OZ is one of the best programs to ever air on tv. I was mesmerized. I thought it was flawless from the direction, acting, writing, camera work, OMG.
I did love Adabisi the best. Then I guess Ryan O Reilly. Oh and JK Simmons was a superb villain! Have a great time watching~

Posted: 2/18/09 at 4:59pmJane, how could I have forgotten Adabisi?? He was INCREDIBLE! I never saw him in too many other things though...

Posted: 2/18/09 at 5:02pmDan, he has quite a resume. I can't think of his name right now, but it is very long. I actually saw him in a couple other things, but it wasn't like Adabisi at all. He had a very unique look on OZ, and personality to match. When I saw him in something else, he was not as attractive or unique.

One of my special skills is knowing how to spell Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. I have NO freakin' idea how to pronounce it though. XD He was also Mr Eko in Lost. Somewhere on the YouTube, there's a video of him talking in his normal voice. It's not anything at all like the deep Nigerian tones we're familiar with, he's a much higher-pitched Norf London boy. XD
Does anyone have ANY idea how he got that hat to stay on his head? Damned if I can work it out. :/
#1794I enjoy being a girl
Posted: 2/18/09 at 5:27pmI used to wonder about that hat. I can only come up with glue as the answer.
