I just got back from touring Franklin & Marshall College. And... I really loved it. I wasn't expecting to, but it was actually pretty great. I got to sit in in a linguistics class and I ended up randomly bringing up a point about the glottal stop in the English language or something...
Our very wonderful tour guide was named-- I am not making this up--Huntington Eldridge, and, strangely enough, was the LEAST pretentious and most hilarious and bizarre tour guide I've ever had. Also a theatre major.

Schmerg, I'm glad you had a good time at Franklin & Marshall! Will you apply there?
Weez, I am excited for you and the Welsh accent as well! Tell us if it lives up to your expectations! Also, that tweet I made about Bob Marley vs. Eric Clapton's "I Shot the Sheriff?" Some Bob Marley fanatic with a huge tattoo of his face on her arm (I did some stalking) tried to pick a fight with me via Direct Message about that. HA! I guess it does make us uncool!

I have to write a one-page double spaced report on the past, present, and future of Environmental legislation for AP Environmental Science. I am SO CONFUSED. One page double-spaced is like ten sentences... how can I fit all of that in there? And how can I write about the future?

DEAR GAWD I just admitted that. Anyway, I just...couldn't look away. I put the video link up because I couldn't find a picture of the character Ashley's hairstyle (younger sister, brunette, dressed in black).
I love her hairstyle, so much that I'm willing to admit that I watched this episode, just to get any advice on how to get my already pretty curly, but still style-able hair to look like that.
Judge as ye will, but hair styling advice would be awesome if anyone's savvy in this department. :) Thanks!

On an unrelated note... I am not speaking to my best boy. He blew me off when we had plans, and this right before he was going to leave for school so I didn't get to say goodbye.... it was a really not-cool thing to do since I had been having a really bad day before this happened. It made we wake up and realize that I have no real friends in Ithaca anymore! No one! just work people and acquaintances.... how sad is that?! Ugg I need to get out of here!! I feel like the town leper sometimes!
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofuPosted: 9/7/09 at 3:40am
nygrl, my hair is as straight as can be, but my guess is straighten or blow out your hair FIRST, then grab a medium to large barrel curling iron, and curl your hair holding the iron vertically. Also, start right underneath your ears or around your jaw, leaving the top part straighter.

I don't know why I'm watching that awful Teenager show--I'm getting clothing and hair ideas from Ashley, for pete's sake. Her outfits are well done, and she's well-developed for her age like I was at 16. When an actress has a lot on top, I steal wardrobe ideas and wish the costume department could help me shop.

So this weekend. Wild. Got in Friday, and met all my girls for lunch. There were like 20 of us. Had a margarita and a Corona Light. Went and got settled in to our hotel rooms and gossiped for a while then got ready.
Went to cocktail hour and got our cruise tickets. A few vodka cranberries there. (Only 2 guys that I had hooked up with were there, so that was a good thing. It could have been worse). We all went over to the cruise.....much drunken debauchery there. After that was a post-cruise party. I think we were drinking until around 3 am.
Saturday we went to lunch and then to the campus. Walked many miles in cheap flip flops. Feet started swelling up around the alumni tent. Had to go to 3 bars (walked many blocks, feet swelling more) to find a bar showing the freaking game. Margaritas consumed. Post game party at some bar with a HORRIBLE d.j. Feet KILLING me and look like elephant feet. Went back with my roomie Michelle to the hotel with cab driver from hell. Didn't stop at stop signs and drove 65 through the city the whole time.
Feet are still killing me but no longer too swollen. Home again and very tired, but overall a fun weekend.
Hope you are all having a great holiday weekend!
