I really like Arnold. But the "girly man" thing is getting kind of old. It's like when he was running for governor and a lot of speeches had Terminator references.

But Arnold is very cool. I've always liked him.

Guenevere, there are no real rich Log Cabin Republicans, just a lot of white male wannabes. It's as true now as it ever was. What matters is the perception, not the reality. (This was told to me by an actual rich gay man and I have since seen his hypothosis test out again and again and again. It's like creative visualization, I'll join the Log Cabinettes and wealth and status will come my way. Guffawhawhaw.)

I'm a strong liberal (and a Californian), but I've got to say, I respect Arnold. He seems levelheaded, and although he hasn't done much good for CA, he's is no Gray Davis for us over here either. And I got such good vibes from him in person; he seems like a genuine guy.

Although that "girly-men" sh*t was just astonishing. That really pissed me off.

Hey, you know a lot of the energy crisis in California wasn't even Davis' fault? Look no farther than Enron and their co-conspirators in the Bush Administration. It helped them get a Republican governator elected too.

Delphine - it's that phrase 'hasn't done much good for CA' that really counts. I'm glad you have had a nice interaction with him, but ultimately, we need a good governor, not a 'genuine guy.'
