I am so sorry if I offended anyone today by suggesting that is was inappropriate for middle aged men to discuss very intimate sexual details with under-aged teens. I know I am in the minority when it comes to this way of thinking and sometimes my old fashioned values just can't keep up with all the current trends in the back room chat room. So continue on and have a great time doing what you love to do. Never mind silly old Sueleen. And thank you to the few of you who tried to lend support to my uncool ideas of public message board propriety. I didn't mean to be a downer. Party on!

as someone who engages in many and varied inappropriate discussions with a all kindsa posters, i have to questions sueleen's sincerity here. i just don't think she's all that sorry. now i admit that after a few close calls i have had to resort to asking a poster's age before i make an off color comment. if they're under 18, i pass. there are enough people who are of legal age here who can be sexually harassed that one need not engage in james barbourism. unless of course one likes 'em really young.
but i'd ask those people who see nothing wrong with it to think about how they'd feel if they found their underage child, nephew, niece or family friend engaged in a similar conversation. as mature as someone seems when they are typing, they're still kids. i know if i caught someone engaged in the kind of banter i sometimes see here with a minor to whom i was related, someone would be going to the hospital.
but that's just me.

I agree with papa and Sueleen
Really, people--it doesn't MATTER that 25 years ago you lost your virginity to a hot older person--it's not appropriate to re-create that experience on an Internet message board.
And really, kids, it doesn't MATTER that 13- 14- and 15-year-olds have been having sex since Romeo F*CKed Juliet--it's not appropriate on an Internet message board. Take it private.
If you HAVE to talk about intergenerational sex with minors, you can go to any of a million OTHER sites on the Internet.
But let's not jeopardize what Rob and Craig have created here because it's "fun" to be inappropriate.
It's not.

I was posting my response to the thread yesterday afternoon when I saw it got deleted mid-way through. I agree with what Sueleen, Bluemoon and others have said yesterday. I think it is just not right in so many ways from the standpoint of a 19 year old to see people at least five years younger than me engaging in pretty mature conversations on a BROADWAY message board that are not the kind of "mature" you'd find in engaging in a deep conversation.
I feel comfortable around here and never have I felt mistreated in any way by any person of whatever age (except evadiva, she is just a flat out monster). I just think it is pretty wrong to say some of the things I've seen said around here and engaging with people whose ages are well below what they should be to publicly speak about such topics. Half the people who engage in the discussions, don't even post on the broadway board! Why are you here?

"Half the people who engage in the discussions, don't even post on the broadway board! Why are you here?"
wow, when were you promoted to Hall Monitor?
I don't recall reading in the BWW rulebook that that was a prerequisite for being here, although I personally do post there now and then.
It could have something to do with the multitude of Wicked threads from gushing teenagers, or whatever the "Show du Jour" is on any given week that stops some from posting there.....I mean even I get tired of weeding through the drivel to get to something of substance.
Where someone posts is really their business, and not yours.
Now, give me my hallpass back and send me to the principals office.....

I have engaged in sexual banter many times on this board. I don't really have a problem with it. I post stuff to other adults and if the kids see it...well...I don't really feel too bad about that.
I have also been asked for advice on the topic of sex by people under the age of 18 (from my nieces and nephews to a poster on this site). I try to give honest, frank advice while continually promoting masturbation as the best thing invented till one knows they are emotionally developed enought to engage in sex with another consenting person.
I also understand the 'I lost my virginity to a 25 year old when I was almost 16 and wasn't at all damaged by it' stories of others.
I just would like to caution those that might get innocently carried away that thanks to Dateline and predator Mark Foley (who co-authored child protection laws regarding sexual predators on the internet), that type of flirting can lead to very serious consequences. I keep any moral/ethical judgements to myself. But the legal stuff is pretty black and white and I would not like to see anyone from this site get caught up in something ugly. Which is why I also think 'taking it to private' is a VERY bad idea.
