Cool. I'm off to start my search now. I hope once they get posted they stay for the rest of the contest. It'd suck if it's like "we'll have a one day window that the clue's up there, hope you catch it." I don't want to be trolling through all those sites on a daily basis (especially since I can't really do it at work, and I'm on dail-up tempoararily at home)...who am I kidding, I'm going to spend an obscene amount of time trolling through those sites!
I PMed you.
And yeah, I know I'm going to be spending hours on this.
Oooh! That sounds interesting!!!
I really want to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D. The big mall near me has an IMAX theatre, and they don't have it. I was VERY disappointed. I love that movie!
Oh, you know the U2 song, where the video takes place at an airport.
yeah
i like that song.
does that make me belong now?
Yay! Maybe you'll keep finding even more U2 songs you like! We're slowly converting you!
And you've always belonged in this thread, no matter how much of a hard time we give you. We need all the people we can get to keep it alive, and you help make it interesting.
ETA: It's the Beautiful Day video you're talking about, right? I think Bono looks really good in that one.

AH! THAT'S IT! I kept on singing it to myself, but couldn't remember the DAMN name.
there's another song I like. But i always forget the title.... it was on one of those EARLY "Now" cds... hmmm
Hey, Q, my friend found the magazine today. I'm not sure how many copies she was able to get, but at least now I can make a decent color copy (if push comes to shove). Yay for Jamie Parker cheekage!
hhhmmmm...was it The Sweetest Thing? I looove the video for that song, btw.
The Sweetest Thing video
YES! Elphie you are on FIIIIIIRE!
(and so is your friend, Mabel! I'm so excited!!!)
Bump.
U2 played Kite during rehearsals in Australia.
I loooove that song.
This is so strange...I posted but my post isn't showing up. But now it does show up as I'm typing this new post. I wonder if it will disappear again if I view the thread the normal way. Anyway, in case it does disappear, here's what I said:
Bump.
U2 played Kite during rehearsals in Australia.
I looove that song.
ETA: Okay, that's really weird. It put my post before CQ's (and it was most definitely posted long after that one).

Hi all! Britney is dumping Loser and the sun is shining! All is right with the world!
Doxy PMed me a while ago too to tell me he could hear the U2 concert while he was at work the other day! JEALOUS!
How is everyone? Gawd, don't tell me I need another questionnaire!!!

Angel of Harlem! Kite!
Wow! Great set! Were the last three all acoustic?
Oooh!!! Kite and Angel of Harlem!!!! And can I tell you how much I LOVE that NYD has made it back into the set! I think that's my biggie that I regret not hearing (at least my big realistic song...that and AoH).
Just got back from yet another interview...not a trainwreck, but not a terribly good vibe either. Also saw Last King of Scotland while I was in the city. I was going to hop to Running with Scissors, but I needed to be picked up and the train station, and I couldn't ask for a pick up that late at night. Oh well. LKoS was really good. Very intense. Whitaker and McAvoy were EXCELLENT, and I was not on the edge of my seat, but jammed up against the back of it!
Also saw The Prestige over the weekend. Good, and I'd like to catch it again at some point...and Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D. Don't really get the big to-do about 3D. There were some bits that stood out and looked really impressive, but for the most part, I couldn't really tell the difference from the regular version, to be honest.
ETA: HEY TIFF!!! How's it going? I did just see the Brit news when I went to check my mail on AOL. Too funny! Those poor kiddies. Hopefully one of them will be able to scrape up a quasi-stable parter to help give those kids a fightin' chance!
on a totally different topic:
i got Grey Gardens. I think it's rawther good.
I'm thinking of seeing Prestige this weekend. It's worth two viewings? I've got a list of movies to see - Prestige, Marie, Borat, Babel, Volver...*sigh* LKoS too, because I loved McAvoy in Chronicles Of Narnia.
What interview was this??
VOLVER
Always the verbose one, you are, CQ.
Tiff, I'd go see The Prestige again just to see again having all the info. I'd figured out some of the twists (or at least known something was up with others that I didn't figure out exactly) and I'd like to see it again from that respect. I'd like to really take notice of things in Jackman and Bale's performances with all the info. Though, considering I went through the movies that are coming out through the rest of the year and I've got something like 35 movies I want to see, it'll have to be on DVD whenever it comes out.
I saw Marie and Babel (didn't really care for Marie and liked Babel, but I think the overall movie was not as good as the performances and a few really powerful scenes). Definitely want to see Borat and Volver too...among many others. *sigh*

Just saw Borat yesterday - it had vulgarity to a level that even I have never reached before. (And that's saying something!) Absolutely hilarious but not for everyone. One viewing is enough (because really, it's the shock value that makes it fun) but it was a riot!
What did you like and dislike about Babel? I'll likely see Prestige on Sunday but I'll have to make Babel a priority as well.
Hi Claire! I adore the Sydney 1 setlist! That would be the encore of my DREAMS!!!
Okay, I'm trying to figure out what shows I'm seeing in New York. I've got Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday matinee and Sunday matinee free. I've already got tickets to Les Mis for Saturday night. Winnie wants to see BATB (yessss, I know) so she can laugh at Donny Osmond as Gaston..I was thinking of The Vertical Hour, Drowsy Chaperone and/or Forbidden Broadway but I'm open to anything. Thoughts?
Hi Tiff! I think that encore is to die for as well. Angel of Harlem and Kite back to back is almost more than I can take.
When are you coming again? I really want to see The Vertical Hour. And I definitely recommend The Drowsy Chaperone. What about Company? I have tickets for that and can't wait.
Wasn't Drowsy just a blast? I saw the first preview here in LA and had such a great time.
Oh yeah, hi!
