I am having a hard time following this story. Can somebody give me a Cliff's Notes version?

Sound like everyone in this story didn't understand, or turned a blind eye, to what the other party's expectations were.

Did you really think that Mecedes came without strings?

When I was younger, I turned down an offer from a guy who agreed to pay for all my living expenses including my college tuition because I knew that in doing so I would be allowing him to call all the shots. He was quite frank that it involved sex not only with him but with whomever he chose. I bolted immediately.

Okay, Cliff Notes...

CO got a Mercedes, and he was all proud and happy and started a thread about how much he ruled because he had a Mercedes.

Not long after, he started another thread about how he lost the Mercedes, even though his good job as a dental surgical assistant paid him enough for the monthly payments, because the trust fund he had from his grandfather wouldn't allow him to take out enough money to make the down payment. So they came and took it away. He was very sad.

Now here is a NEW thread about how the aforementioned Mercedes was actually a gift from a boyfriend of sorts, who took it back when CO made it "obvious" that he didn't like him like that. On this thread, he pontificates on the fabulous dinner he made.

This thread coincides with another thread telling us he can't boil pasta.

We're all very confused.

So, how I understand it...

CO was trying not to let on that he got the Mercedes because his boyfriend/sugar daddy was keeping him as a cute piece of *ss.

CO expected to keep the Mercedes even though we refused to put out.

Instead of following through, CO flaunted his new love interest in from of aforementioned boyfriend/sugar daddy.

Sugar Daddy cut CO off financially.

CO has no job...no car...no domestic skills.

We should feel sorry for CO now.

I think it is terrible how everyone is assuming that My Captain is a liar. Have YOU never taken something that you knew did not come with strings? Have YOU never made a cake from scratch only to ruin the pasta? Have YOU never ridden in a luxury car and had to take the bus the next day? Have YOU never taken drugs and wake up not remebering what you told people the day before? Have YOU never had a sugar-daddy or a rich Grand sugar-daddy only to find they did not really LOVE you?

Yes, I lied to you. Not really a pathological liar since I haven't lied since. And yes, I cooked the cake from scratch but I couldn't boil noodles. Go figure.
