I love watching shows that haven't been on in years. So often you're able to see people who were unknown at the time but became pretty famous. I've been working my way through Quantum Leap season 3 and I've seen so many people.

Tia Carrere
Patrick Warburton
Josie Bissett
Diedrich Bader
Debbie Allen
Christian Hoff
Michael Cerveris

I hate to break this to you, but Debbie Allen wasn't unknown in the early 90s. The decade before was when she was most well-known.

I like some as well. I think my new favorite one is the original "Land of the Lost." It's on Sci-Fi in a marathon right now. There was one on last Monday as well, and that's how I discovered it. The bad acting, fake looking sets, cheesy effects, and dinosaurs drew me in.

Land of the Lost was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I saw that SciFi marathon and couldn't believe how cheesy it actually was. My favorite scene was when they were showing the Dad falling, they just used a GI Joe doll and tumbled it over and over again. Brilliant.

Land of the Lost was a staple in my Saturday morning diet as a kid. I even had a Land of the Lost Little Golden Book. Sure it looks pretty bad, but back then, for kids with good imaginations, it was quite fun and exciting. And I thought Will was hot.

Oh, me too. He had a kind of hotter Keith Partridge thing going on.

The opening sequence in Land of the Lost is the most hilarious thing ever.

Speaking of Sid and Marty Croft, HR Pufnstuf anyone?

Yeah I'm sure if I saw the show as a child, I wouldn't have thought anything of it. It's just funny to watch though. I think I actually like it better than the remake from the early 90s, which did not have the same cheese factor.

I hated Sigmund...not that I didnt watch it tho. Saturday mornings were veggie time in front of the tv...beginning with the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner show.

I'm trying to remember a cartoon now. I don't know what decade it was from, or who made it. I think there was some huge sea monster, that was friendly, and other weird characters too. I think the sea monster was friends with some child. I know, this is not much of a description at all. I wouldn't be surprised if I have 2 shows confused.

Does anyone else adore ALICE, the Linda Lavin vehicle. No one is airing it and none of the seasons have been released on DVD. Meanwhile, tons of seasons of crap TV are available. Alice was such an amazing, groundbreaking show and even though Celia Weston was a Polly Holliday replacement, she was wonderful. I love Celia Weston!

I think I saw and episode or 2 of that before. I have a station called ION that aired it. I don't know if they still are.

danmag, i knew i could count on you. Polly Holliday was a revelation as Flo. Flo was funny to me, because even as child, I wondered who would want to have sex with her. The same thing I wondered about Blanche on Golden Girls. I really thought these women must do depraved things because they really arent that cute. :)
