Is blacking out from drinking wine coolers even possible?

Referring to the latest Palin nonsense, of course.

Wine coolers are about 5 percent alcohol. I'd think you'd puke from a bloated stomach and all the sugar before you'd get enough alcohol to reach the blackout stage. But I was never a wine coolers person, having started out with hard liquor. Any of you with the more toe-in-the-water approach to alcohol able to give credence to the Bristol saga?

Your question assumes that she's telling the truth, which I doubt. Better to label someone a rapist than to take any sort of responsibility. But she's a role model!

I have never blacked out on wine coolers. Too many can make you sick before you black out. Or, maybe it was her first time drinking alcohol and having sex. Maybe it wasn't the wine coolers that made her black out while having sex...

Oh no doubt, Phyllis. :) I'd just think Bristol (or her ghostwriter, more accurately) would at least concoct a more plausible date-rape story than that. I mean, even if they were drinking Old Milwaukee it would sound more plausible.

I forgot about Zima! Used to drink those a lot. Never passed out though. She was "supposedly" a virgin. If she was, it wasn't the ahh ahh ahh ahh alcohol that made her pass out.

I have a legitimate question. I know many very conservative Christians, and well as Orthodox Jews. I have met (or heard about) countless Christian teenage girls getting pregnant, yet never heard about a pregnant Orthodox Jewish teenager. Can someone explain this to me?

Oh. My. Got. Are you kidding? And Mike's only is like 3% alcohol. There is no way you could pass out from that. I can drink a whole six pack. Not that I would because I'd be sick from the sweetness. I would think wine coolers are similar.
