Hey, I LIKE THAT! Rosie can bring the cast of "Naked Boys Singing" to the Price is Right!!!
LOL romnatico. People can guess the lengths of their members to qualify for the prize wheel.

She'd be a perfect fit and I think this is something she'd LOVE--being paid a boatload of money for a fairly easy, enjoyable gig. She's always said her favorite programs growing up were family entertainment like Dinah Shore, Mike Douglas and game shows.
She could be hilarious pop culture Rosie. Quick-witted Rosie. Rosie in a relaxed, fun environment. What are people so worried about? That she'd pick a fight with some hausfrau trying to win Plinko?
The most I could see her doing here is saying "bring out soldiers home!" at the end of the show, the way Barker advised people to spay and neuter their pets.

From TMZ.com:
Rosie "added that even though she really wants the "Price is Right" job, CBS suits say, "No, we want the weatherman." Could she be giving away the fact that Dave Price will take Bob Barker's place? Stay tuned."

Isn't that how Bob Barker got the job in the first place?

You're forgiven, rath.
Wow, Al Roker's taking the job?

Posted: 6/20/07 at 12:38pmGreat news! I would love to see Rosie on Price is Right. She was always about the giveaways and confetti, so it would be a perfect match. I'd watch.

TYPICAL! Johnny Carson was aksed who he would like to take his place. He said David Letterman and the "suits" picked Jay Leno. Bob Barker is aksed who he would like to take his place. He mentions Rosie and the "suits" pick who THEY want. The same "suits" also picked Katie Couric, so if they do pick Dave Price I hope the show bombs!
What bothers me with Rosie is she doesn't seem to stay interested in anything for very long. Her daytime talk show was doing great and she decided to quit when it was at its peak. She decided not to stick with the View, how do we know she'll only want to do THE PRICE IS RIGHT for a couple of years? Some thing that should be considered.

Posted: 6/20/07 at 4:15pmRosie only agreed to one season of The View from the beginning. She only left 2 weeks early. It never had anything to do with losing interest in the show.

Correct. The show lost interest in her.

Price was in the running from the beginning
He started out doing the weather on Channel 5 . He than went to Channel 2 for more money & a promise of doing more than the weather. This may be it. They could do worse & he is a good
choice if he gets it.
I simply do not see Rosie doing it. If she gets it & does a good job, more power to her. I do not watch it as I am at work but Barker leaving is like Guy Lombardo . The joke was when he died, he was taking new Years Eve with him

Even if CBS was to pick her.
I think Rosie wouldn't take it because her family, especially her kids, their lives are in New York, and to uproot them would be very hard for the kids to deal with. And her flying back and forth would be very diffcult with her to have a good relationship with her children as she has always wanted/had with them as of recent.
I think she's more likely to do a talk-show close to home so she'll still be there for her kids.

I'm doubting that CBS wants the Price is Right to become a platform for Rosie's views (pardon the pun). I know what the demographic is for that show.
She's better off on some talk show situation where she can say what's on her mind, rather than saying let's see what's behind door #2.

Jane, why would The Price is Right become a platform for Rosie's views? It's a game show...not a talk show.
She's quick, she's naturally funny, she's fantastic with an audience and can ad-lib. Plus, we know how she loves giveaways. I think she'd be fab!

No, Jane, I knew approximately what you were getting at but your reference was wrong.

"Jane, why would The Price is Right become a platform for Rosie's views? It's a game show...not a talk show."
Why? Because I don't think Rosie would be satisfied making small talk with the geriatrics for a living. I feel that she's brimming over with more political topics than that and would love a tv platform for them.

Posted: 6/20/07 at 7:36pmSo you're assuming she wants the gig without having read the job description? You're reminding me of Boy George demanding she get a haircut to prove that she was dyke enough to produce his show.
