In what appears to be a direct response to the failed boycott campaign of anti-gay group One Million Moms, JCPenney yesterday unveiled a new Father's Day ad featuring a same-sex couple playing with their children.
I've never particularly liked their clothes, but I might stop in there this weekend to show my support for them.

Posted: 6/1/12 at 12:09pmI've always found that Penney's is great for "basics" are far as clothing goes. Slacks, jeans, shorts, capris, t-shirts, etc. If you're just looking for a pair of khaki shorts then you'll usually win at Penney's. Their home department is top notch though.

Posted: 6/1/12 at 12:27pmI used to think I didn't like their clothes, but I just bought a nice suit from them the other day. Reasonably priced and an excellent fit--it won't require any tailoring. So, my opinion is changing about their product. And I'm happy to give them my money because of their views.

JC Penny's spokesman is pretty classy as well. Could not have said it better myself.

Posted: 6/2/12 at 12:09amIt was always the place my mother took me and my brother to buy clothes as a kid (oh, the "huskies...). Then, as a young adult, I got the whole 'tude of "I'm-too-good-to-shop-there" but recently have found it to be a practical choice.

Posted: 6/2/12 at 12:17amI recently discovered I have a JC Penney that's only a 15 minute drive away during the whole Ellen debacle. I checked it out and was pleasantly surprised. I'll definitely be going back!

Posted: 6/2/12 at 7:07amI seldom buy clothes there, but you can't beat JCP for bath/window stuff. And my wife buys all her purses there. When our kids were younger, much of their clothes came from JCP.

Penney's is smart to embrace the gay community. We are fiercely loyal and the gay dollar will help their brand immensely.
Also, you can't beat their basics and their window treatments.

One Hundred Million Moms has oozed back out of its slime hole with a new target
I'm sure NBC is very scared (tee-hee)

Posted: 7/21/12 at 12:56pmHomophobes want there to be no acknwlodgement whatsoever of homosexuality in the public sphere. Imagine if someone tried to say the same about Christianity.

Posted: 7/21/12 at 4:20pmOh, baby, after spending two days reading comments on Chick Fil A's Facebook page, I know that better than ever. In the strawman battle about religious liberty, the only examples I see of people infringing on the rights and lives of others are the relgious people themselves.
