Thanks for the compliments!I just loathe Elisabeth so much. When the hosts brought on people they admired and who they considered their mentors, Elisabeth brought on Barbara and Bill Gedde. Of course, she owes them everything because she was plucked for this show simply because she was the cute girl from "Survivor". That show isn't even on their network. There are so many intelligent, conservative women who are well-spoken, I just never got what they saw in Elisabeth except for the fact that she's a cute little blonde! Okay, stepping off my soap box now!

Right after Lisa Ling left and they were doing that guest-hotess carousel (aka auditions), I'm sure all the candidates went through focus group testing. They must've liked something in Elisabeth back then besides her being the chick from Survivor. Would you rather they have gone with that other conservative Rachel from Real World San Francisco?

Eva's definitely attractive and well-spoken. She's also a well-known Democrat who openly campaigned for Obama, including being on Bill Maher's show last month. So, if you're talking "replacements for that blonde Republican, Elisabeth," she's not quite it. She's not a comedian like Joy, either.
I did, however, read an interesting article the other day espousing why Brooke Shield's "famous for not be so famous anymore...and being pretty much game for anything," plus her "inside Hollywood scoop"-factor by virtue of the fact that she just knows so many people, would make her an ideal candidate, despite her lack of comedienne-ness. Then again, that's pretty much covered with Whoopi and Sherri.

I can tell you for a fact, that Whoopi and Brooke are close and Whoopi hasn't hidden her support for Brooke and would like her to take Joy's spot. Whoopi has more pull than people realize and they're talking to her for ideas and suggestions.

I think she's a talented comic actor, but I don't think she writes (or thinks up) her own material the way a Whoopi or Joy does.
