Yes..that one is "Now and Then"
They are all available on cd. Karen's solo album was recently released in 96 after being shelved for about 25 yeas. It's a shame it was never released when it was made, because these songs show off different tyles of music that would have made it to the top of the Billboard charts.
I think my favorite Karen moment is in the Carpenters' cover of “A Song For You,” near the end when the background vocals and band disappear, and it’s just Karen and that really faint piano in the background…”I love you in a place where there’s no space or time…” God, she gives me chills.
While Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass was the group that built A&M Records, it is The Carpenters that keeps it running. Their records continue to sell, and have never been unavailable.

One of the BEST VOICES ever. The Christmas albums especially are first rate!!! A true singer who made you feel everything that she sang. Karen and Laurie Beechman will always remain as two of my favorite female vocalists of all time.

After listening to my mums recording i have to agree with the majority of comments... she had a truely brilliant voice. You can hear the emotioon through her voice... so nice to listen too also!
How did I miss this thread? I love Karen Carpenter for many of the same reasons already stated in this thread.
Her cover of the Beatles' 'Help" is also one of my faves, considering I'm not crazy about the Beatles. She also does a very pleasant rendition of "Can't Smile Without You".
My parents were big fans of the Carpenters, and I must have been 16 or so, before I realized that Ticket To Ride was a cover of a Beatles song! To me, it's still a Carpenters song.
Not only a beautiful woman with a gorgeous voice but she did all of her own saxophone solos too!
Don't forget that she also played the drums on many of those recorded songs...
Right up there with Teena Marie - who played all her own instruments.
