Some fans are nuts. ALL celebrities have some nutty fans. Some just get more than their fair share.
Kelly has said some really ****ty things on that show. Nothing deserves death threats, but considering how she used to look and dress, one would think she would be a little nicer.

Yes Gaga did not come and say anything because of catty things they all say on Fashion Police, she responded to Kelly calling out Gaga's fans, yet refused to speak out about the fact that what her fans are saying IS terrible.

SADM2, I agree with you 100 percent that Gaga should at this point address her fans and tell them to cut it out. Any celeb should in this day and age when they use social media for their own purposes.
However, I think the reason this conversation isn't going the way it might otherwise is because despite the fact that you say it's about the bullying, which you (rightly) despise, it seems to be much more about your loathing of Gaga.
That's why people are bringing up other celebrities whose fans have exhibited similar behavior.
But again, I agree she should address it.

Reginald i agree, yes i don't like the woman's persona (do actually like some of her music and have her first album) but trust me it could be any artist in the same position with the same charity etc and i would be just as annoyed.
But thank you for speaking to me like a human being, it's much appreciated and I'm thrilled you agree she should speak out.

You opened the door when you compare Gaga to all other performers.
You re honestly telling me that someone who is the head of an anti bullying charity who allows her fans to continue bullying in the most horrendous way and continues to say nothing is fine. Yet will accuse another celeb of bullying because that celeb spoke out about the nasty comments made to her.
1. You said yourself Gaga has addressed it.
2. The whole basis for your argument is based on your assumptions of what Gaga knows, encourages, and allows.
3. It would be hypocritical of Gaga to accuse Kelly of bullying is Gaga herself were bullying, which she doesn't seem to be doing. I can totally understand hating someone for what they did, but not for something they didn't do. She "allows" her fans to bully people? You must know how ridiculous that sounds.
This woman is a joke, 'it's OK to be whatever size you are' she tells the press when she comments about the fact she has put on weight. 'I'm proud of my figure' yet on Twitter she is telling fans she is training like hell and resisting the cheese burgers to get her looking back to how she was.
I was curious about this, so I looked it up. I found the cheeseburger tweet from April 2012:
"Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad dreaming of a cheeseburger."
No mention of her figure, but she couldn't have been "training like hell" when a few months later, she admits to gaining 25 pounds and we get the headlines proclaiming her label ordered her to lose weight because they would have to order new costumes.
And since when does having a positive self-image mean you should NOT eat healthy or exercise? And at what point do you realize you might be going a little bit overboard?

Mister Matt i have NEVER and would NEVER accuse Gaga of encouraging it, i do not think she would encourage anyone to bully.
And addressing it? not really, she will address it when she tells her fans 'its wrong'

I agree that she should probably address it. I also think that when she speaks about anti-bullying, she is already addressing it. But mean people will still be mean if they want, regardless what anyone says.
I have said on here before many times how against bullying i am (lord knows it can get that way on here), this is not a Lady Gaga thing, it could be any artist who is doing the same thing, it just happens to be her.
Um...not according to your first post starting this thread. You went off on her for a variety of reasons off the topic of bullying.
but yes this is just an anti Gaga thread, not about the bullying at all.

Mister Matt is was to point out how much she contradicts herself especially when it comes to her 'positive image' with her fans....as she has just done again today. Maybe i should not have used any other examples because i should have known that 'certain' people on here would accuse me of posting an 'I hate Gaga'thread (even though i NEVER have before). However like me or don't like me (honestly i dont care) people on here KNOW how i feel about bullying.

It just appeared as if you were given an imaginary inch and turned it into miles. A lot of your animosity towards her really seems to be based on assumptions, especially that you ascribe a lot of power to her over the behavior of others which she clearly does not have nor has she seemed to have stated she believes she has. That's the result of relying on gossip blogs and rags.

"Following Kelly Osbourne saying in a magazine that Gaga's fans are the worst because they have told Kelly to 'kill herslef' and 'hope she get's raped' GAGA has come out and told KELLY to stop bullying.
Apparently Kelly is a bully because she is on fashion police...doing her job.
Gaga of course bangs on in an open letter about negativity and bullying and blah blah blah yet what did she say when it comes to her fans notorious nasty comments (like Madonna fans spread AIDS and they hope Taylor Swift dies in a car accident)?
"I cannot control my fans, and I discourage them from any negativity and violence, because that is wrong and hurtful - and I do feel baldy that your feelings were hurt.'
Are you kidding me? maybe you could try 'issuing a letter' to your fans to stop wishing people dead, calling Madonna's kids the 'N' word, praying Katy Perry get's cancer etc.
For all her going on and on about bullying i think it's safe to say whatever she is doing is not working when her fans don't even pay attention...or her staff at the 'house of Gaga' (whatever the hell that is) who are just as bad with remarks on twitter.
Sorry for the rant but when did this woman decide she was the voice of the people and positivity?
