Dare I even write it out?

"A Holly Jolly Christmas" as sung by Burl Ives.

I shudder.

Christmas Shoes - a little boy in a store doesn't have enough money to buy his mother a pair of shoes. Oh and did I mention that the mother is dying and needs a new pair of shoes because she may see Jesus tonight?

I agree with Goth (is this a Christmas miracle?).

Do You Hear What I Hear? Absolutely HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT.

My roommates have lately become obsessed with All I Want for Christmas is You, and it's beginning to grate on my nerves.
I know you. I know you. I know you.

I agree about the Christmas Shoes. Also Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.

Least favorite holiday song?

I still have yet to hear this Christmas Shoes song everyone talks about. I want to see how many years go by where I inadvertantly miss it.

I don't seem to mind most Christmas songs except those performed by Johnny Mathis. His bizarre styling and enunciation drive me nuts. Especially Sleigh Ride. If there is one song in particular I'd rather not hear it would probably be Little Drummer Boy. Ba-rum-puh-pum-pum.

WOSQ for the win!

Least favorite holiday song?

All discussions of horrible Xmas songs come down to the eternal battle of Christmas shoes vs Grandma Got Runned Over By a Reindeer.

Least favorite holiday song?

"THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY"

I despise it. And I hate it even more when a child performs it!

Most of the classics annoy the heck out of me but only because of how many times I hear them. The least annoying to me is Angels We Have Heard on High.

Feliz Navidad-So repetitive and annoying. Don't like Dominick the Donkey either.

My top two have been mentioned Dominic the (G** D***) Donkey and those blasted Christmas Shoes
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

I can tolerate most terrible Christmas songs, but when Christmas Shoes comes on, I change it as fast as I can. Even Little Drummer Boy is better that that awful song.
#18

Least favorite holiday song?

Christmas Shoes is the most boring, long and horrible song I've ever been forced to listen to. I shudder at the thought I may yet hear it again before the season is over. Ugh.

I'm going to have to go with "Simply Cloying a Wonderful Christmas" by Sir Paul over "Christmas Shoes" which, unlike the former, is escapable.

Am I the only one who gets pissed off that Mariah's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" is played quite frequently but Darlene Love's classic original has been all but forgotten?
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Where do I begin?! Twelve Days of Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, Simply Having a Wonderful Christmastime, and many, many, more!

What's this Christmas Shoes everyone is talking about? I seriously don't think I've ever heard this song, or maybe it hasn't registered with me.

I actually listened to "Christmas Shoes" for the first time and broke into laughter several times, hardest when that child chorus appears.

One of my least favorite is a rarity, but when I first heard it I want my brain zapped from ever remembering it. "Ding-a-ling, The Christmas Bell". Less said of it, the better.

"Do They Know It's Christmas", however, is inescapable and frankly has outlived its shelf-life, and not just for its patronizing, culturally imperialist lyrics.

"Christmastime" by the Smashing Pumpkins made me stabby and I loved that band.

I can only tolerate the 12 Days of Christmas when John Denver and the Muppets perform it.

Least favorite holiday song?

Since Christmas Shoes was my first choice and it's so horribly obnoxious, I'm going to choose my second least favorite holiday song.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

How many versions of this song are there? I think I've heard at least 50. It really is a stupid song. Nothing says Merry Christmas like a drunk woman who is worrying that her entire family may be upset that she's late while a lascivious man is putting his moves on her.

When I worked in the record biz, we really sought out ghastly Christmas songs: The New Kids abysmal Rap song "Funky Xmas," Country monologist Red Sovine's rambling, bitter "song" about being alone on Christmas 'cause his ex-wife won't let him near the kids till he stops drinking, and "Pretty Little Dolly"- a lovely ditty about a sadistic toddler torturing her Christmas doll to death. I really don't know why this glorious season brings out the worst in songwriters.

Least favorite holiday song?

"Country monologist Red Sovine"

I haven't heard Red Sovine in YEARS. I forgot all about him.

"Teddy Bear" a trucker song about an orphan cripple extorting rides from truckers. Meanwhile all these truckers are getting fired because they're not delivering their loads in time because they're too busy joyriding some little prankster.
