Lindsay Lohan wanted for 'Dancing with the Stars' but rejects offer.

Sources are saying that Lindsay Lohan is in early talks to do "Dancing with the Stars."

"Lindsay has been talking with the 'DWTS' people. She is definitely interested and considering being on the show," a source close to the star told Radar.

According to another Lindsay source who chatted with the celebrity gossip site, the actress' team at Betty Ford, where she is being treated, thinks the hit reality show "would be a perfect transition back to work for her. She would have a set schedule everyday, would be occupied and would be very productive."

Honsetly I really don't think this would be a good idea for her. Once she gets of rehab she needs to get her life back together and I don't think this is the way to dot it. Plus, I'm surprised ABC would want her back after she got fired from "Ugly Betty."

^ I know. ABC is crazy! They're doing this because the little brat, Bristol, helped them bring in 24 million viewers for the finale. They think Lindsay can skyrocket their ratings.

Well- at least she IS a star and not one of those wannabes who only became famous for pushing out mulitple kids or defying their abstinence agenda. She also is not famous because who her parents are. I have watched Lindsay since she was on Another World and I do believe she has talent. I also know that the arts can do wonders for a person. I think the discipline and structure would be good for her. I hope she turns her life around like Drew Barrymore or Robert Downey, Jr.- I remember- he did some bad and illegal things and was in and out of the courts. I'm just glad DWTS didn't ask for Dina, Michael, or her sister. Of course, Lyndsay's family is the type of contestant they have been booking lately. If this rumor does hold up- I can only imagine that if she gets Derek as a partner, viewers will protest that she already has dance experience (remember- the Jingle Bell Rock scene in Mean Girls-lol!) and that it isn't fair. This would be a ratings bonanza for ABC.

I will say that, despite her deserved bad press and deserved time in jail, I'm also rooting for her. I can't help it. I first saw in the remake of The Parent Trap, and I thought she was an amazing talent. She's gotten bad advice, bad support, and made bad decisions of her own. That said, I still think there is potential greatness within her.

Totally agree madbrian! I'm also hoping this would give her a chance to change public opinion- in a more positive way. Some people- cough-Khate Gosselin- had their image changed in a negative manner but I'm hoping for the best for Lindsay- she DOES have talent and a great sense of comic timing!

Lindsay may soon regret this decision and realize that this is the only opportunity she is being given right now. Her acting career hit another bump in the road. Her new movie, 'The Canyons' was rejected by two major film festivals.

Lindsay is probably at the stage where she fears if she does something considered less than A list, then she will be damned to losing her status. Sadly, a DWTS paycheck is a very nice one and better than most offers.

If she is in rehab, she is no way anywhere near the stage of committing to a possible full season of a "Reality Show". She could barely make it through one week of SNL last season. The produers are trying to give us Train Wreck TV for ratings.
Lindsey has to disappear for a few years from the public eye. Not do ****ty Cable movies playing Liz and get her life togrthr. THEN maybe try a return.

^ Totally agree snafu! I still want to root for her but she really needs to get herself together. I heard DWTS wants the girlfriend of the University of Alabama football player (Miss Alabama) that the public just "discovered" a couple of weeks ago. Now- she's a star? I'm surprised they haven't asked Manti Te'o or his make-believe girlfriend yet. Geesh- DWTS is really scraping the barrel. They have had some bonafide stars in the past but these "infamous" people are not stars! I bet Dina Lohan would jump at DWTS- so would Michael!

The parents are the BIGEST problem -- that's the saddest part. That entire family needs to lay very low and unpublic for a coupla yrs, at least. Get help, and NOT from Dr Drew or Dr. Phil, or Oprah.
