This show is just awesome. My whole body was frozen those last few minutes. But I really don't bother with theories. I just take it an episode at a time. I'm not smart enough for theories
But I agree with those who say that Michael probably shot Ana Lucia to get to Henry. My stepdad said that Henry could possibly be the leader of The Others. That would be wicked!

Fast forward to tonight:
WTF???
#103re: Lost tonight...what do we think?

Ok..a few questions to start with....
The Australian woman with the daughter who came back to life the same woman that Jack's Dad was talking to last week?
Is her husband the pyschic that Claire went to?
Why do you think none of the other cameras in the other hatches worked?
Did Eko see the question mark? and if he did, did that match up to it's spot on Locke's drawing? I thought "the Swan" was somewhere else. That is, if we think Locke's drawing is a map.....

I think he did see the ?. I saw it. But I don't know for sure if it correlated to Locke's "map".
Good thinking about the psychic! Very possible. But I don't know if it's the same woman Jack's dad was talking to. And the girl really never came back to life. The coroner was trying to cover up his botched autopsy. The screams on that tape were horrific!
Next week looks good! That was the pirate guy with the white beard, right?

That was definitely the psychic Claire went to. I recognized him as soon as I saw him, and it was only confirmed when he talked about being a fraud of a psychic. Interesting, considering he apparently saw something for real when he saw Claire and sent her on the plane to Los Angeles.
Think they're going to try and visit any of the other places on the map?

Posted: 5/10/06 at 10:54pmThat was the same psychic that Claire went to, but not the same woman Jack's dad was talking to. From what I understood though, the girl did die and came back to life. She said at the end that she saw Eko's brother "in between places." Also, the psychic knew that the plane would crash, and wanted Claire on it. Since he told Eko that there was no miracle, Eko gave up his investigation and boarded the plane to LA. He also wanted Eko to be on the plane that crashed. I think he just lied to him, and that there really was a miracle.

See...I had thought that the psychic guy really was a fraud, except for when it came to Claire. With her he really did see something, and was sending her to CA to protect her. (And the plane crash would just back up his being a really crappy psychic! LOL)
Ok...so if that wasn't the woman that Jack's dad was talking to, then the "miracle" girl isn't Jack's sister. So that means that Claire could still be Jack's sister. Hmmm...where was Jack from? Could the pyschic have been sending Claire to Jack?
I loved seeing another hatch! This is also the first date we've gotten on anything from Dharma. The video was dated 1980. Of course, the big old videotape machine and the dot matrix printer fit perfectly!

I'm convinced the Aussie girl didn't really die. She did "freeze" and it seemed like she was dead, but truly wasn't. She may have gone towards the light, but didn't get quite close enough. But it doesn't really matter.
After tonights' episode...Mr. Eko is my second favorite character after Jack. My top 3 would be Jack/Eko/Sawyer.

So good tonight! I'm excited for next week, but I'm sure they'll leave us with some big cliff-hanger.
I was glad to see Walt. I really want to know who the "others" are and what they're doing to him. Tests? Like, more psychological tests?

Great episode with a ton of information!
That woman...Ms. Clue....wasn't she one of the women in Eko's vision? She's creepy!
I was so happy we had some Charlie/Claire time tonight.
Personally, I think leaving Sayid behind is a good thing. They'll need him when Jack, Sawyer, Hurley and Kate get captured. ( And after seeing that Kate's last name is Austen, I keep thinking there has to be some literary significance to all their names......but I can't quite figure it out)
Walt just reaffirmed what we saw with the "costumes" that Kate found. The "others" aren't who they appear to be. The question is, who are they????

Another great episode tonight. But I hate it when you're left with more questions than answers.
I personally think that something is going to happen to the people that are left on the beach. Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, and Kate could go off to find the Others, and when they get back the beach is empty.
I don't know about all of the names being significant. Jack is obviously Shepard because he is supposed to be the leader of the pack. Locke and Rousseau are named after the real John Locke & Rousseau. Sayid Jarrah is a combination of names of two of the hijackers from 9/11. Other than that I don't know if any others are significant. I know that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje actually came up with the name Mr. Eko himself.
I can't wait until the finale next week. I'm just afraid of what the cliff hanger will be.

Mother of pearl, I love this show!
I cannot wait for next season already. And that Ms. Clue lady needs to be shot. I didn't like her from the get-go.
Next week should be awesome! JJ Abrams (the co-creator) said that he thinks it's the best finale ever. (He wasn't around to film it b/c he was off doing MI3. He's praising the people who stood in for him.)

That was excellent...
This episode confirmed to me that Jack is dumber than bricks, and the only person with a brain is Sayid. No one else seemed to be able to see that Michael was acting a bit...odd? How does Jack not pick up on this? You want to go attack a group of at least 20 people, and only bring along four people, one of whom acts like a child and has zero athletic ability. Why on Earth would Jack be against taking the one guy who has, you know, actual military experience??
That boat is obviously something sent by the "others."
Who knows about the costumes in the second hatch? Kate, Clare, and Jack, right?

I think Kate was the only one who actually saw the "box" of costumes (with the beard, glue, hat etc.). She put them away before Jack and Claire saw them.
My question is who is "HIM"?" You know the "Him" Not-Henry-Gale was referring to? The boss of The Others? I read somewhere that the producers say it's someone we "have seen" already. I can't imagine it's one of the Losties still around all the time, except for maybe Eko. Or maybe Locke? Seems hard to believe.
If it's someone not currently around, other possiblities for HIM could be:
Walt
Boone (although I don't think so)
Bernard
Dr. Marvin Candle
Desmond (possibility?)
Anyone else? This show gets me all theorizing...
In the scene where they showed Walt to Michael, Walt said something along the lines of, "They're not who they say they are. They're pretending." What was that all about? And why do The Others only want those particular four Losties? I don't get it.
Not my favorite episode, but I like when we get to see The Others. Even when nothing much happens, it's always a little treat to get a glimpse of them. I jsut wish I could figure out WTF is going on!

I actually think that the HIM refers to Hanso. We saw a bit of him in the first Orientation film. He's also the guy in all of the phony commercials they've been showing in commercial breaks.
Yeah, Kate was the only one who knows about the fake clothes. Claire was in the other room with Rousseau, and Jack was never even in that hatch.

This sounds really twisted, but I think that "He" may be Jack's father. In one of the first episodes, Jack finds his empty coffin and keeps hallucinating that his father is on the island. He also has ties to at least three of the Lostaways (Jack, Sawyer and Ana), and is the reason why Jack and Ana wound up in Australia in the first place.
I can't wait until next week's episode!

Yeah, Kate was the only one who knows about the fake clothes.
Kate told Jack about finding the costumes when she and Jack were in the jungle looking for the Others (just before Michael reappeared).

Good theory on it being Desmond's boat. Didn't he say he was in a boat race around the world when he got marooned? Maybe I'm remembering things that didn't happen. But I think you may be right.
Did you ever notice The Others are always in beige/brown/khaki (or maybe their clothes are just very dirty)?
And I agree with Sayid. Miachel has been compromised...I wonder what The Others are doing with the blood sample they took from him.
Next week better answer some questions!

The Others are "dirty" to the Losties and us, but in their well guarded hatch I imagine they have clean clothes, modern electronics, and loads of creature comforts. They are "pretending".
Are the four that Ms. Clue (what a name) wanted - Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Hurley - are they ultimately good or bad. They are all either one or the other or else the Others wouldnt want them.

Has Sawyer had anything "supernatural" happen to him while he's been on the island? Jack saw his father, Kate saw the horse, and Hurley saw his "friend". Maybe they are studying the people they believe are having a kind of supernatural connection to the island. They asked Michael if Walt had ever "appeared in a place he wasn't supposed to be"...which I figured was a reference to his visits to Shannon. We know Walt has some sort of "special abilities" in this realm.
Maybe they will come for other castaways at other times. Like the ones who are being healed by the electromagnetic energy. Or the ones who seem to be having a crisis of faith.
You know, TV isn't supposed to make you think this much!

Yes, Sawyer had that whole thing with the crazy boar going on a while back.
Did anyone else think that Walt's high voice sounded a little put-on? He's grown about a foot since we saw him last!
