Posted: 9/13/09 at 4:08pmI don't know why I continue to watch this every year, but I'm still waiting patiently for 8. As for the "winners"...eh. I'm having a hard time jumping on the GaGa bandwagon, but I am looking forward to some of the performances.

Posted: 9/13/09 at 4:53pmI'm actually really looking forward to the performances for the first time in a while. You may not like Gaga, but she always changes things up for her performances and puts on a good show (although why she's up for so many awards is beyond me, because Poker Face is a pretty mediocre video).

Posted: 9/13/09 at 5:08pmWe've all seen the promos, so I have to wonder if there is going to be any reference to West Side Story. Isn't there supposed to be a New Moon trailer premiering on the awards?

Based on the stage, I think they're going to keep going with the West Side Story references.

And yes, there is apparently some kind of New Moon preview.

I bet they'll keep up with it...the whole being back in New York thing, and the commercials with the orchestra playing "America."
I agree, scott. "Paparazzi" is a much better video, but that probably came out too late. She's huge right now, so they have to praise her for something. I'm mostly excited for Green Day, actually.

I might flip back and forth, but meh. I don't really care anymore.
I think Chris Daughtry's Poker Face was much better than Lady Gaga's. I'd love to see that live.

I'm really looking forward to the MJ tribute. I heard a rumor that Janet will be dancing with a Michael hologram. If it's true, then it's gonna be amazing.

I'm really excited for Lady GaGa's performance. Love or hate her, you can't really deny that she 'brings it' far more than most artists these days.
Was kind of surprised she decided not to perform 'Poker Face' considering how many awards she's up for...but I guess, unless she incorporates the acoustic (like the American Idol performance) it's difficult to really 'sing' such an electronic song...and in front of your musical peers, you probably want to impress.
I have a feeling Beyonce will take most of the awards down to sheer fan base. Granted 'Single Ladies' has become iconic (mostly due to the parodies) but it doesn't really deserve the amount of praise it will get.
After Britney won best video for that piece of **** last year, I don't much care for who wins what - but watch for the performances.
Glad there is a tribute to MJ, and it's being made by Janet rather than a douche like Chris Brown (or bloody Jamie Foxx).

Did we all just experience that?
HOLD THE PHONE!!!
Kanye needs to be evicted from the recording industry NOW!!!
I'll bet that segment is going to be cut from the other time-zones airing.
Otherwise, the Madonna tribute was like a queen kissing a queen.
