His official blog just went down (probably can't handle all the traffic)

Yup, that's it. Rolling stone posted it also. He just needs to be banned from music altogether. Beyonce looked really shocked when it happened. Glad she did what she did. Did she ever clear up that comment she made about Michael Jackson a year or so back? I heard Janet was ticked off about it and it crossed my mind when I realized Janet was performing.

Looks like Pink wanted a piece of Kanye backstage after his rant.

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1621404/20090913/west_kanye.jhtml

Various celebs have lashed out against West on Twitter, including Pink, who had to be escorted away from the rapper by security.

A hooker and a half empty bottle...

from his blog

He's nothing but trash

"But his verbal attack against Swift had a more vicious tone. According to a tweet from Jay-Z's DJ, Neil Armstrong, Swift and her mother were seen backstage crying afterward"

He can shove the apology

Wait, what did Kanye do? I wasn't watching. He cut off Taylor or something?

"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

Madonna's tribute speech was great. She looked fantastic, too.

Not sure how long it will stay up but someone put it back up. (The Kanye interruption). I am not a big Taylor Swift fan but I really felt bad for her.

I actually find Russell Brand really funny when he's doing his own comedy shows or interviews, but whenever he hosts the VMA's he seems more reserved and less entertaining.

Kanye west is a complete Jerk. I don't get why so many people still respect this guy. He behaves and treats people with no respect all the time. Props to Beyonce for giving up her speech so taylor could give hers. I loved gaga she is so crazy and over the top it's great.

Kanye obviously has problems controlling these "little outbursts" while under the influence. If he can't handle his liquor he shouldn't be drinking. This is not the first time. In 2006 he blamed it on a little "sippy, sippy". Someone needs to intervene on his behalf. Before someone who won't put up with his sh!t caps him.

Well I am watching the red carpet re-run. Interesting observation (It may not mean anything). Shakira said on the red carpet that she is this generation's Grace Jones. When they asked Lady Gaga what she was wearing she said Jean Paul Gaultier. Interesting as Gaultier was Grace Jones' main clothes designer. I am thinking Lady Gaga is not as out there as she presents herself and has created this persona. She is quite intelligent from what I have seen of her in interviews and I really think her voice is being wasted on dance music. I have heard her sing a capella and she has a killer voice.

Russell Brand was a HORRIBLE host last year so I'm really amazed that he was asked back again this year where he proved once more that he was HORRIBLE! It just felt like he was trying way to hard to be funny but he just came across as crass and unfunny.

Oh and this was the first time I ever really heard Lady Gaga sing and I was really surprised at how well she can really sing. But I will say that her outfits and her performances are going to give me nightmares! hahaha

Obviously, he doesn't understand what an apology is suppose to do.

But to those that say he should be banned from music? Really? As long as folks will buy his music THAT isn't likely to happen. You can practically guarantee that even MTV won't stop airing his vids. (They might ban them for a day or so...but that's probably it.)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

"Where did that apology come from?"

His ass?

I'm sorry, but the cheerleaders and bleachers comments doesn't make sense. This is all just some big attention-getter, and I do believe it was staged. Maybe Taylor didn't know about it, but do you really think MTV didn't play some part in this? Look at all the buzz that's generated from the incident. This is all about MTV trying to boost their ratings on TV and online.

Watched the clip of Taylor's 'moment.' The angle changes so you can see Taylor in profile in front of the audience, and there is a guy in the front row who is very clearly stimulating his nethers.

Kanye creates crassness, Beyonce classes it up, and then--there's some guy masturbating 15 feet from Taylor as she's making her speech.

Should have waited til he was fully sober to apologize or have someone who works for him who was not drunk write it for him. He did more harm in his apology then he did rushing the stage and stealing Taylor's spotlight.

I think back to this and feel it is the most honest portrayal of Kanye West there is. He was SO PISSED when South Park did an entire episode on Kanye and his God size ego.For those who never saw the episode, its a MUST SEE!!!

That was SO out of order of Kanye.

Yes, we ALL know that Taylor Swift did not deserve that award and she only got it because of the tweens...because she can barely sing and all her songs are the same...but come on!

I usually like Kanye, his ego just makes me laugh...but when he pulls something like that?! Too far.

Plus, whoever suggested it - I really doubt they'd try and stage that. They have enough of buzz with Janet/GaGa performing...and the inevitable Russell Brand controversy.

Lady GaGa's performance...em...I love that woman but why did she use autotune?! It sounded kind of interesting, but now she's going to get people continuing to label her as a crap singer. This was an opportunity to prove everyone wrong...

p.s. she really is a woman, there are plenty of pics of her pre-blonde GaGa days and as a kid. Plus...the outfits she wears - there's no where she could hide something like that from the press.
