Taxi???
No, you ladies need to hire a car for your excursion.
YWIW!!! I'm so excited to see you!! Ladies and gentlemen, YWIW is one of the kindest people on this board! I would just like to publicly thank her for being so sweet to me when I first joined.
Glad I could entertain you with my sordid tales, theaterbabe. I never knew I had so many confessions until that thread.
If I could change one thing about the world? I would eradicate AIDS.
You'll come along, right Stagedoor?
Girls Night Out!
Katy, what is your favorite flower?
What scent makes you happy?
Oh Addy! I'm such a flower person that it's hard for me to pick. I'll list my top 3.
1. Hot pink gerbera daisies
2. Pale pink tulips
3. Stephanotis
I love clean, warm smells. One of my all-time favorites is a lotion that Victoria's Secret used to make called Warm Embrace. When I found out they were discontinuing it I stocked up. I have bottles of it stashed all over the place. Whenever I wear it someone tells me I smell like a suntan. It has a bit of a cocoa butter smell to it.
Congrats to katygrace!! I raise my mug of tea to you. Feeling a bit under the weather myself, so my question to you is, How do you pamper yourself when you are feeling like ick?
Two words, mom: Hot Toddy. Whiskey, water and honey. My mom used to make them for me when I was sick. I also curl up on the couch in my jammies and watch girly movies.

We recently heard news that some public schools in Hawaii were closing their libraries - partially because of budgetary constraints, but also because they feel the future of communication is technological, so libraries will become obsolete. As a writer, how do you feel about this?
I'm appalled, DG. There is so much that is not available to these children over the Internet. Technology should not be used instead of our "old-fashioned" methods. It should be used in addition to what we already have. I feel sorry for these kids. They're missing out on so much by not having that resource. They're also not going to be very well prepared in terms of learning how to utilize library resources.
I'm heading home for the day, my dears. I'll be on a little later to check for more questions. Hopefully I'll get to meet more people in the evening crowd as well!!! Hugs all around!!! Thank you for making this such a special day!!!

I knew I liked you. And by mentioning TWO pink flowers AND defending libraries, you're going to rank really high on Addy's list
kg, I think we may have a lot in common. Tell me do you like snickerdoodles?
Congrats to you Katygrace!
I don't have much time to ask questions today but I did want to wish you well - I hope you're enjoying your day as celeb!

Just want to throw out some evening time confetti for Katy. It was great reading your answers today, and getting to know someone new on the board.

katy
some pics of your sweet doggies would be nice =)
A final huzzah to Katygrace as CotD!
You are a delight. A sweetie. A classy gal.
I hope you enjoyed your day, as much as we enjoyed your reign!
katygrace - if you have the time this morning, would you mind answering a couple more? I was asked some of these and I think they're good questions!
1. If you could have any magical power, what power would you choose and how would you use it?
2. If you had been the sole winner of the $300+ million lottery, how would you spend it?
3. What is your absolutely EARLIEST memory?
4. I don't think I've ever heard you mention a pet. Do you have one?
Good morning! I'm so happy that everyone is seeing just how fantastic this gal is. I knew you would, though! It's inevitable!
Love ya, Katydear!
Mamie, I won't ruin it for you, but Katy has the coolest name for her pet.
A final morning hooray for the lovely Katy!
I can't wait for our LBD adventure!
A belated 'Yay' to Katy!
Good morning everyone, especially Katy. I hope you had a wonderful day! Your answers have been great, its so nice getting to know everyone like this. You are a sweetheart and I am so glad that the rest of the board got to see it. Love ya sweetie!
Good morning everyone!!!! I actually came in to work early to have a little extra time of celbrityhood. Is that sad? LOL. I've been catching up with the things that were posted while I was gone and I just want to thank everyone for your well wishes and kind remarks. Every single one of you is so fabulous! I feel so honored to see you posting such nice things!!
On to the questions!!!
Mom- I love snickerdoodles. I love cookies in general but snickerdoodles are one of my favorites.
Questions from Miss Mamie:
1. If you could have any magical power, what power would you choose and how would you use it? Someone asked me what my superhero power would be and I said teleportation so I could travel anywhere whenever I wanted. I'll pick a different one for you, though, and say that I would want to be able to cast spells. I'd probably use them mainly to cheer people up or make good things happen, but I can't promise that I wouldn't use them for a little karmic retribution. If I saw someone being genuinely mean to another person I might cast a spell that would make them trip or get splashed by puddle water or something.
2. If you had been the sole winner of the $300+ million lottery, how would you spend it? First I would pay off my student loans and all my parents' debt. I'd also set aside money so that my youngest brother will be able to go to college wherever he wants. Then I would buy a place here in Chicago, one in New York, one in Venice, one in San Franciso, and probably another somewhere in Europe. I would ask friends to stay in them and take care of them for me and then I would just travel for a few years, see everything I've always wanted to see. I'd take friends and family with me because I wouldn't want to experience all that with no one to share it with. And then I'd probably save the rest and never have to worry about having to work again (although I'd probably still work anyway).
3. What is your absolutely EARLIEST memory? Watching Sesame Street with my mom. I was probably about 3 or 4 at the time. She was home during the day and we had tons of fun together.
4. I don't think I've ever heard you mention a pet. Do you have one? I actaully have 4 pets, 1 here in Chicago and 3 at home. I'll post pictures here in a sec since Harris loves to see pictures of my poochies. My Chicago pet is a kitty named JJ (after Jenna Jameson) and she pretty much owns me. At home in Ohio I have 3 little Dachshunds named Valentine, Bo and Rudy. I just can't gush enough about all 4 of them.
Love you, too Kel!!!!
Congratulations on your reign!
