Stephen
You know you are not only in my very top ranks of BWW posters, but also one of my best friends in "real life."
You are thoughtful, insightful and witty...
no wait that is me.
Seriously, from the day I first saw you post on here, I knew I had kindered spirit and I am overjoyed at having had the opportunity to get to know you and spend time with you.
I don't ask questions of the celeb, the questions are already myriad and difficult, but I will be very happy to see your answers.
Enjoy your day, you are certainly worthy.
(By the way Katy, I didn't get a chance to stop in this thread yesterday, I also think you are awesome.)

A softball question for you Patronus:
What is your dream cast for Rent (live, not the movie)?
And, what is your favorite Sondheim song and why?

Boobs asked:
If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be and what questions would you want them to answer?
This answer has popped up before but it'd have to be Jesus Christ. I am not really a devoutly religious person despite growing up in protestant churches in the south, but the story fascinates me. I'd love to know what he really had in mind. I'd ask how he feels about the things that are done in "his name". I'd also ask, "Why can't I go to a shopping mall without a stranger coming up to me, throwing your name out and then asking me if I am prepared to go to hell", and most importantly, I'd ask, "Let's say that at the end of the spiritual path I don't go with your religion. What would you suggest next?"
KelRel asked:
Which is your favorite book in the HP series and why?
As of right now it is "Prisoner of Azkiban". However, I am going through a discussion of "Half Blood Prince" here on BroadwayWorld and it's quickly gaining steam.
I name PoA, because I think it's the best standalone book in the series. I love the introduction of Sirius Black and how it reminds us constantly that things may not be what the seem. I also feel like this is the first book that didn't feel like a children's book and it just flows very well.
Not to mention that Snape has the best line in the entire series so far:
"That is the second time you have spoken out of turn, Miss Granger," said Snape coolly. "Five more points from Gryffindor for being an insufferable know-it-all."
If you could be any character from them who would it be and why?
Wow, that's a tough one. I have to say that it would probably be Snape. That is subject to change assuming how Book 7 finishes up the series, but I am in the camp of people who do not believe Snape is evil and in fact will play a very large roll (possibly even giving his own life) to save Harry Potter and bring down the Dark Lord.
If you could have any one wish granted what would it be?
I hope this isn't too broad of an answer, but I'd wish that everyone that I love and care about in this world would be taken care of. In particular, my parents have fallen on some rough times in the past couple of years and my dad has that "southern macho pride" thing going on and refuses to let me help financially, so I'd just wish that the people I call family and friends would never have to want for anything. I'd like to think that I choose my friends wisely and that if all of my loved ones were taken care of, they'd take care of me too.
shameless asked:
What has given you the most (non-sexual and non-criminal) pleasure in the last year?
Making some new friends. Since I joined BWW last July, I've had the opportunity to make some great friends. In particular smartpenguin78 and yodamarie78. I am not a big social person in real world and my wife and I tend to stay in more than we go out. I can count people that I call real friends on my fingers and sp78 and ym78 are two of the best in that category. I'd say that would easily be a great pleasure is making two best friends.
If you could be anyone you wanted to be today, who would you be, and what would you do?
Bono. It's rare that we get someone who sings on stage whether it be in a rock band or a broadway show and entertains people but also makes a difference in the world. I'd probably put on an all night concert in Africa with 100% of the proceeds going to AIDS relief in Africa. And hell, since I am Bono I guess I'd have his bank account so I might as well match all the proceeds dollar for dollar.
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
Wow, that's tough. I think they'd say that Stephen is a bit obsessional and very passionate. He's quick on the wit and a bit silly. Sometimes he can be a little difficult to get along with and he has the southern temper. However, at the end of the day he is a giver and a really nice guy.
I think it'd be more or less accurate.
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
Horseback riding.

mominator asked:
Your favorite cookie.... Oatmeal Chocolate Chip
Way to spend a rainy Saturday... Hanging out online and watching bad TV.
Hero as a child...... He-Man. He protected Eternia and sometimes Earth. That's skill!
How did you come to your screen name.... It's from Harry Potter. The Patronus Charm conjures an incarnation of the caster's innermost positive feelings, such as joy, hope, or the desire to survive, known as a Patronus. A Patronus can be viewed as the exact opposite of a Dementor. Even though it embodies all the positive emotions that a Dementor feeds on, a Patronus is conjured as a protector, and thus is a weapon rather than a feast: Patroni shield their conjurors from Dementors, and even drive them away.
Katygrace84 asked:
Please describe your perfect day for us.
Well, it starts with waking up with my wife Anji. Preferably it would be in New York City. It would have absolutely no plans, because we likely wouldn't end up doing them anyway. We'd wander around (likely with Clay and Sara) and go with the flow. At the end of the day we probably wouldn't have accomplished anything, but we'd have a hell of a time doing it.
YouWantitWhen???? asked:
What is your dream cast for Rent (live, not the movie)?
Mark: Neil Patrick Harris
Roger: Norbert Leo Butz
Mimi: Yassmin Alers
Collins: Paul Oakley Stovall
Angel: Shaun Earl
Maureen: Tamara Podemski
Joanne: Moe Daniels
Benny: Taye Diggs
And, what is your favorite Sondheim song and why?
"Giants in the Sky" from Into the Woods. In high school in GA, when I dreamed of being on Broadway, "Giants in the Sky" reminded me that that there is another world and different people out there that I had an opportunity to grasp and learn from. It served as an anthem for me all through high school.
boobs asked:
My other question is....what inspires you?
One word. Passion.

Okay, as much as I'd love to sit here and do this all day I have to get ready for work.
Back for one night only though, get your NorbertEmcee avatar!
I'll try and steal every moment I can to get on and respond to questions. I'll even dedicate my lunch hour to the cause.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone. You guys are all Celebrities in my eyes!
ETA: Keep leaving questions though. I'll definitely spend all of tonight getting caught up if need me. Being a left coaster, I am by default a BWW night owl.

I should be dressed and gone.
My idol duties are actually more or less done. I have already written reviews of all buy 1 clip, so that should make life easier.
KelRel, I see your question up there and it's a big one. I'll have to save that one for later.

Kel pretty much beat me too it.
As I said, I don't normally ask questions, but I do love this story and I had a special request to ask it, so here goes:
What is the story of how you got into RENT? (It includes your question Kel. Oh and P, do you also want to tell the story of what may have killed RENT for you?
)
Kitz, I LOVE question 2.
ETC: Too many smileys.

Ok I have a couple questions.
1. What show has had the most impact on you personally and why?
2. If you could pick one Broadway show that every young person (16-24) in America had to see what would it be and why?
3. Who is teh one guy you would change your secual orientation for (you know there is one!)?
4. If you could change only one policy in American politics what would it be?
