MINI EGGS!! You're the best Brit in the world!
Hmm...best photo. I have a photo of my mom and I framed and hanging in my house. I was 4 at the time and - at that time - an only child (mom & dad ruined that a few years later). Dad was working overseas for 4-6 months at a time and it was just mom and I. We were (and are) very close and it was a special time in my life that I got to share with her. It shows in the photo. I learned years later that it was a very lonely and unhappy time for her and she was suffering from depression. There is a sad wistfulness in her eyes that's very touching.

Moomy - you and I have a habit of making each other cry. I'm just letting you know that I'm going to need the kleenex box for a moment.

Here, DG. I only used it once.
CONGRATS, MOONY!
Have a great day, dear.

Thanks, BB, hope you're having a good day, too.
Congrats Moonie! A very sweet and fun poster/person. Well deserved
Now 2 important questions:
1. Who is your favorite person to have spit on you?
2. What will it take, or is there ANYTHING I can do to convince you to burn certain pictures?
Moony, why did you get into teaching?

Wicky! What a question - you KNOW the answer:
1. Who is your favorite person to have spit on you?
Can anyone's body fluids compare with those of Michael Arden?
2. What will it take, or is there ANYTHING I can do to convince you to burn certain pictures? No. Thank you asking, though.
Moony, we could always make copies and burn those if that would make her feel better...I think you need to keep the originals though.

Moony, why did you get into teaching?
I has several wonderful teachers in high school who had a great influence on me. I couldn't think of any better way to affect the future than intellectually spuring the minds of those who will take the reins in the future.
I have burned out a bit. Which is why I teach less now and have moved into administration.

And Kel, I ALWAYS keep the negatives.
Which do you like better, admin or teaching (minus the burn out of course )?
Bluemoon - when do I get to see (privately) the pictures from the picnic?

Both have their headaches and their rewards.
The admin stuff is a bit easier on my energy level these days. But the girls are the core of my exsistance here. My reason for being.

Moony- is it an all-girls school? What's your opinion on single-sex versus co-ed education?
Wait a minute...wicky?? That's worse than wick! Pictures are bad enough, don't give me bad nicknames!
The one nickname I've grown quite fond of is Panda. You may call me that.
"Can anyone's body fluids compare with those of Michael Arden?"
Indeed not! Yes I did know the answer. Glad I was able to share that experience with you I've told you that whenever I see him he gives me such an I-know-you look, and I always have to say "wicked shirt" and then he remembers me. Actually, that's how you figured out who I was. Didn't realize that shirt would become so linked ot that night.
Umm, no, burning copies would not be as fun. What if we burned the originals and pretended we were only burning copies?
Are you sure you want to BSo? Remember what Moonie said? She got you "full frontal."
Full Frontal is the only way I know how.
BSO is a cutie..
Wicked, we can perhaps burn the originals as long as we have made copies of them first. Will that work?

BSO -what's it worth to ya? There's a black market out there, you know.
DG - yes, all girls high school. I think for most students, single sex education is wonderful at the high school level. There are some for whom it is not a good fit, of course. Our mission is stated as "We are women of courage, compassion and scholarship." I think this is more easily achieved by focusing on the uniqueness of young women and their equally unique development. On the girls part, they feel that the absence of boys in the classroom allows them to be themselves more (I hate the implications of that) and the drama of getting and holding a young man's attention while trying to focus in school is also absent. My husband teaches at an all male school across the street and he's pretty passionate about the benefits of mono-focusing on the male adolescent without the distraction of girls. We do have a number of programs where the two schools join together, though.

How about we skip enema time tonight?

OK, 'Panda'! I have tickets to the Kennedy Center's "Night with Stephen Schwartz" this May. He's bringing guest artists again, but not Arden.
I'll have to settle for someone else's spit.
so...what do they do for music and theater productions? do the schools do those together or are all the shows the kind that feature mostly women, and the chorus an all women's ensemble?
Sounds good Moonie. When in May? I may be able to go if it's after May 22, when school's done, maybe work in a visit with my friend in WV again. I'm really fortunate to have good friends either situated or in college or so many useful locations where I can go to something broadway-related and visit them.
Hmm, perhaps Kel. How about we make copies, but don't look at them, then burn the originals? Maybe the copies will get messed up. That would be fine.
And see there's proof I do look awful. Kel didn't call me a cutie
Oh okay, BSo. I was searching old posts and we were talking about the pics and you expressed disgust that Moonie got you full frontal, that's why I thought you didn't want to see it.
