I tend to not remember my dreams, but I did have one a few years back that freaked the hell out of me. I dreamed I was walking through a park and come up to a caged in area where a bunch of men were going at in there. As I got closer to the cage I saw this blue faced head with horns that I took to be Satan. I actually screamed myself awake.

How about that dream you told me about where all of the BWW posters were offering you bananas?

Phyllis, your second coming has come and I am pleased that you get the attention you crave so badly love and admiration you do so deserve
-Which lady can lunch the best out of Stritch, Monk, Walsh, or Kringas?
-If you could pick one place to live where would it be: Detroit, Houston, New Orleans, Los Angeles, or Phoenix?
-Which is the highlight for you: Rain on the Roof, Ah Paree, or Broadway Baby?
-How do you like my husband?

Joe, I told you that in confidence. How dare you betray me in such a manner.
LadyRo,
1. LA, of course. Getting there is half the fun.
2. I guess Broadway Baby, since Rain on the Roof is often forgettable, and I still can't get the stink of that scary Ah Paree! at Encores off me.
3. He sparkled for me.

If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given?

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

For the Shamester -
I think people would say I'm a loyal friend, with a pretty good sense of decency. They'd also say I'm high strung and prone to fits of hysteria. All of that would be true.
As for something I haven't done - I think hang gliding/skydiving. I always wished I could fly when I was a kid and that's probably the closest I could come to that. I just don't know I could do the jumping off a cliff/out of a plane part. I did para-sail for the first time this summer, which was pretty neat.
Giftwise, that's a toughie, at least the giving part. I'm really and truly a terrible gift buyer. Once in a while I'll see something cute and clever that just really suits the person, but I'm usually the type to just buy a gift card. I did send a birthday card with a sock puppet on the front to BWW member once.
Thanks for another Follies question, PalJoey! I could talk about that all day long. While I do think Ben victimized Sally to some degree, I don't really see her as a victim, except maybe due to the fact that she's clearly not playing with a full deck. I've always maintained that Phyllis is the only true innocent victim of the four. Everything that happened in the 40s between Ben and Sally was behind her back, and even Buddy was aware of it to some degree.
And to dear Jilani, our go-to guy for all things legal, I've never been to Europe and I'm itching to go. I'd love to see all of it, but England, Italy and Greece are at the top of my list.

Congratulations!
Phyllis, if Ben does leave you the Bracques and Chagalls and all that, would you appreciate the works on an artistic level, or, merely in a fiduciary context?

Oh my god, I think that's the best question ever! I laughed really hard at that.
I think that I would appreciate them on artistic level. After all, I studied and I read and I walked my feet off at the Metropolitan Museum.

What is your favorite moment of the FOLLIES OBC soundboard recording?
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Patronus, that's all you, baby.
Harris, I believe that Jason should have to stand in front of a first grade class and tell him what happened. Right after they've watched Bambi.
Wiz, that's a real tough one. It's probably a tie between two moments. I love the "Ben?" "Ben. Ben Stone. I want a reason!" moment at the beginning of "Don't Look at Me." I also love - and this holds the record for being the most played track on my iTunes - the scene just before "Loveland," where the past and present are colliding only to be called to a halt by the trumpets and lavalieres.

Leave you where?
When I was in high school my friend Kate liked Follies, too, but she had issues with taking the lord's name in vain. She'd do it, but she'd apologize for it. Once we were singing "Could I Leave You" in my car and when we got to "wait a goddamn minute" I heard a very soft, "sorry" just after.

what a great story.
quick question: is Loveland on the OBC? I don't remember it, but these days they add on all kinds of extra tracks.

It is not Taz. It goes from "Could I Leave You" into "You're Gonna Love..." and "One More Kiss" was recorded but not on the original LP. It was added on for the cd release though.

Phyllis, one of my best friends does the same thing. When she swears, etc., she says "Sorry, God" with a head tilt towards the ceiling. It cracks me up every time.
