Phyll, it's time to pick the weekend celeb.
I second AngryDeer! Is 11 the cutoff when we get to pick three nominations? Then I say:
AngryDeer
QueerDeer
Yes,Dear
Who will be the lucky girl--and I don't use that word misogynistically!
I'm elimintating Yes,Dear! Better luck next time!

Okay, I thought about this for a little while. And I'd write a fancy intro, but I'm getting slammed today, so without further adieu, I name Jilani as my successor. Congratulations!
Just as good! Congrats, Jilani!
No questions yet, but I plan to use this weekend as a chance to get all the pro bono advice I can get.

Congrats, Jiliani!
If you could take on any role in a current Broadway show, what would it be and why?
Are you a lawyer or do you just play one on TV?
So I guess the popular vote doesn't count around here.
Congratulations Juliani.
Oh, pipe down, Venison. Two votes is not a majority.
YAY Jilani!!
What character from a play (straight or musical) do you most identify with? Why?
Pipe down?!
I'm in mourning and hung over!
I will NOT pipe down.
Besides, I still got two more nominations than Juliani.

Did I do something wrong in my appointment? Last time I was CotD you just picked the next one.
You were fashionably late, but you got your pick in before Buck got 3 votes.

Oh, okay. Well, mea culpa, AngryDeer!
What's up with Vindictive Venison? Sore loser?
shameless is correct.
She eliminated Yes,Dear, but no one ever eliminated QueerDeer before you posted, so that nullified my nominations. Both harris' and PJ's nominations are invalid because they did not follow proper nominating procedure per the first page instructions, those wicked little rebels.
No worries, AngryDeer. Your day will come!
I'm not a rebel, I'm a WHORE!

Remember when Jose would start sad little threads that no one responded to about how the CoTD system wasn't fair?
As BWW's resident legal mastermind, Jilani, what legal steps could one take to become a permamant CotD?
And what does your screen name mean?
"What's up with Vindictive Venison?"
I'm in mourning since my wife was mowed down by one of the posters on this board.
And his 'girlfriend' just said nasty and hateful things about my wife, calling her 'some stupid animal'.
So, I'm not vindictive (although, I do think I can use that on my friends in the forest), I'm just trying to cope with the loss of my wife.

OK, so now I'm uncertain as to whether my nomination is valid, but I'm going to risk additional cervine wrath and proceed on the assumption that it is. Thanks, Phyllis, for the honor!
And before I go further, the name is Jilani - not to be confused with a certain former New York mayor, and also note there are only two "i"s in the name, not three. :)
Taking questions so far in order:
Mauriposa, I would love to be able to sing, make people laugh, and operate puppets all at the same time, so my vote would be the role of Princeton/Rod in Avenue Q.
PJ, I am indeed a lawyer, for better or worse.
Tazber, I've never thought about that question before. I must admit that my knowledge of theatrical characters is far from encyclopedic, so I'm having trouble coming up with an original answer. Let me think about it some more!
Oh, and as an aside, Calvin - free legal advice is often worth exactly what you pay for it. :)
Phyllis, you're asking me to give legal advice on how to concentrate too much power in one individual, but still have it be legal? If I knew that, I'd probably work for the current administration.
My screen name is actually just my middle name.

I'm typing with hoofs here, and besides, JULIANI was a joke.
Here's some questions:
Does a deer sh!t in the woods?
If you were a deer, what part would you want on Broadway?
Do you swerve to hit or to avoid animals while driving?
Have you ever eaten venison?
Your one-note schtick wears thin rather quickly, doesn't it?
You seem to be the only one who thinks that PJ.
Where were you for the fun yesterday?

I know you were joking, but I just wasn't thrilled about being associated with him . . .
Does a deer sh!t in the woods?
I think you are better positioned to answer that question than I am.
If you were a deer, what part would you want on Broadway?
I'm sure there is a good pun to be made here somewhere, involving substituting a deer related word like "buck" or "doe" into a character's name, but I don't have the skill or knowledge to come up with one on the fly!
Do you swerve to hit or to avoid animals while driving?
I am happy to say I don't own a car, and on the infrequent occasions when I have driven, I've never encountered an animal in the road. I would hope I would swerve to avoid one.
Have you ever eaten venison?
I haven't, but I'm not a vegetarian either.
