The thing is that she knew her best wouldn't be good enough to get the headlines, so she went for the complete opposite, gave bizarre performance and ended up upstaging everyone else (for all the wrong reasons, but still)... I guess her mission was accomplished.

I signed the petition to make 'Party in the USA' the new national anthem on whitehouse.gov
She's definitely getting the most press today. She's getting talked about more than Gaga and the N'SYNC reunion.
I wish more people were talking about the Macklemore performance with very special guest Jennifer Hudson. I thought that was fantastic. One of the highlights of the VMA's in general.

The whole thing was disgusting and made me turn the channel. I also find Robin Thicke a sleeze ball. He always looks like a younger Simon Cowl.

Besides, I'd rather be watching Breaking Bad than the trash the VMAs were showing last night.

I predict now that on a future episode of Toddlers and Tiaras, some parent is going to dress their kid up as Miley from last night and think it's cute. They already had Lady Gaga, Madonna with the boob cones, Dolly Parton, and Pretty Woman.

I didn't know Robin was a douche. Can't name a single song. All I know is that Jason Seaver is his dad and Liz from Days of our Lives is his mom. I thought he would have turned out okay.

JG2, I have never been a fan of Taylor Swift as a performer or vocalist. She is mediocre at best. However, she is an incredibly underrated songwriter. Very skillful with words (for the most part) when you consider her age and limited life experience.
