Personally, I can't wait for this. It looks adorable.
Shame on Pixar for providing mostly great entertainment for us.

Posted: 5/18/13 at 2:09pmWe all know how terrible the Toy Story franchise is!

^^^Pixar IS going to make a sequel to Finding Nemo so there's another one.

Look, I'm not angry on anything, I'm just expressing worry since Pixar recently had a VERY bad slump in the things that made them a great animation company. But I personally do have HIGH hopes for Monsters University and many of Pixars ORIGINAL upcoming films.
Carry on good sirs.

2008 - WALL-E
2009 - UP
2010 - TOY STORY 3
2011 - CARS 2
2012 - BRAVE
Sorry, which of these besides CARS 2 fits into the "recent VERY bad slump" category?

Brave unfortunatly fits there because it could've been much better than it was. I wonder what would've happend if Brenda Chapman stayed on as director? I'll bet her vision would've been interesting like how Pixar has proved so many times.
It felt very cliched to me and yet I have no idea why.

Brave, while not my favorite of the Pixar films, is far from my least. It is generally regarded as more "lightweight," but remember that it did win the Animated Feature Academy Award last year (though my pick would have been the parent company's Wreck it Ralph).
On the subject of sequels, Cars 2 was a misfire, but Toy Story 3 is one of my favorite fils EVER, animated or otherwise. The buzz on Monsters is great...I wouldn't be concerned or worried...

Oh, I see. This thread isn't about anything official, just what's swimming around in your head. The "slump" isn't anything real just a little gerbil turd deposited while it was running on the wheel up there. Gotcha.

Posted: 5/18/13 at 3:16pmJordon, I'm sure there are others who have the same thoughts and there were some critics that said Brave was certainly NOT one of Pixar's best films, some saying it was "weak". What you said doesn't make any sense, but feel free to disagree, for we all live in a free speech country.

Wow this is getting out of hand here.
Back to the subject, it is funny how the trailers and promotion material say that college was the first time they met. But didn't they meet in the 5th grade which was mentioned in the original film?

Just another example of how downhill Pixar has gone.
