I'm an old "classic movie" buff. I'm constantly used as a walking reference library at work. I've seen every Best Picture Oscar-winner. And in fact, I own them all on DVD (or a few still on VHS). My grandfather was an executive at Warner Bros. during the "Golden Age" of film... and my parents were also both in the business. So I was raised on it. I love film. All kinds, shapes and sizes. Good, bad & indifferent.

But there are some MAJOR classic movies over the years that I have missed. Mostly "Westerns" and "gangster movies." I haven't seen too many of them, because they're not my favorite genres. Pretty much every other genre is covered, but to this day, I haven't seen a few that raise peoples eyebrows and make them say "how can you say you're a film buff when you haven't seen..." the following:

Stagecoach
Foreign Correspondent
King's Row
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
A Letter to Three Wives
Shane
The Defiant Ones
The Nun's Story
Zorba the Greek
Coming Home
Raging Bull
The Mission

Okay, too many to name.

*relinquishes the crown of Film Buff*

*cries*

Yes, I know my profile name is spelled incorrectly. That's what happens when you don't spell check and just push done. I wear it as a reminder to spell check.

Until recently... Gone With the Wind. And I waited for ever for the classic line! Note to producers: don't put THE line at the end of the frickin movie! lol. It's so LONG!
