Have you ever played the Lion King cast album in front of your cat? He wasn't even in the room, but on the first note, he came running in all upset. He was certain something terrible was happening. He's pretty astute.
And no one grew into anything new, we just became the worst of what we were."
This is the funniest story I have read in a long time!
"I am open, and I am willing,
For to be hopeless would seem so strange.
It dishonors those who go before us,
So lift me up to the light of change."

"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
I wouldn't blame cats for being deeply offened by "Cats." When my cat produces a horribly stinky turd he buries it discreetly; If only Andrew Lloyd Webber had such sense!
Funny this surfaced today-- I was watching a documentary on Hippos last night and the cat came charging in and stopped about 3 feet away from the TV. He normally ignores it, but tonight he stared intently at the hippos on TV and eventually went up and very tentatively touched the screen as if he were patting the distrressed hippo on the back. He kept looking back at me then at the TV as if bewildered I was just sitting there not helping the poor hippos. So he hates Carol Channing but loves hippos. Go figure.

If anyone, human or feline, doesn't genuflect in front of the formal portrait of Carol Channing that hangs in my entryway, they are not permitted entrance into my home.
Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae
Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra
Salve, Salve Regina
Ad te clamamus exsules filii Eva
Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
O clemens O pia
