A cat that hates Carol Channing? Throw it in the garbage disposal.
The only thing my family's cats seem to watch on tv is when there is a documentary about birds. All three of them sit in front of the tv watching intently and occasionally batting at the screen.
My oldest cat will lie on top of the television happily no matter what is playing. He could not be the least bit interested in the subject matter - but when the show ends and the credits start rolling (up at him) he goes crazy.
Oh. my. god. This thread makes me laugh......and it makes me miss my cat.
When I was a teeneager my sister and I would sing a lot around the house. Whenever one of us sang a really loud, long note my cat would freak out and come running and bite us! Actually, we were pretty cruel to her. We thought it was funny so we would sing super loud just to piss her off and then when she came charging at us we'd stop singing to avoid her bites.
PS....that video.....woah!

OMG, gunn, that video was priceless!
"HERE COME THE FUZZ"
No problem. I saw it and couldn't pass up posting it.
Your cat has now made Dollypop's enemies list
my cat was offended by the musical Cats. He made a video about it:

I know a cat that hates Frankie Valli, especially the song "Sherry". Everytime my aunt's cat heard a Frankie Valli song, she would start scratching my aunts legs. My other aunt used to leave messages singing Sherry and other things just to annoy her.
I plan on doing the same.
My cat loves Disney songs, especially Eeyore's Lullaby.
"If anyone, human or feline, doesn't genuflect in front of the formal portrait of Carol Channing that hangs in my entryway, they are not permitted entrance into my home."
The fact that you have a formal portrait of TGC in your entryway explains so much about you, mainly why you're alone.

I'm not alone, Albin. I have been seriously involved with a 28 (soon to be 29) year old stud muffin for some time.
(Yes, he genuflects in front of the Carol Channing portrait and keeps the votive candles lit there.)

As is Fabrizio's life.
Sad. Terribly sad.
Bump, because this thread is awesome!
My cat hates Defying Gravity. He hides under chairs whenever it's playing.

I have no cat. BUT, many years ago I was watching a movie or documentary or something about male singers who would castrate themselves to retain that boy-soprano quality to their voices. When they started to sing, my dog started howling so much. He must have sympathized...
And this thread is hilarious.

I have a new cat! I still have Fiyero (the Carol Channing hating beast) but now also have a teeny freakish cat that has 6 toes on each paw and no tail. We thought he was a boy until he had kittens. Harley is his name because he was a stray we lured inside and once he got comfy he rumbled like an idling motorcycle.
He LOVES music. He even likes my phone's ringtone. If my Boyfriend is watching music videos on his phone or tablet, Harley rubs his face against it and then sits and listens intently. He is teeny and has trouble getting up onto high places (like my computer desk) but once when I was playing "Go West" by the Pet Shop Boys he HAD to be by that music and jumped up for the first time. Now he comes up whenever I'm on You Tube- he's not much on showtunes (
) but likes a lot of pop stuff. The other night I played Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma and I thought he was going to explode. He rubbed the speakers, sniffed the screen and as soon as it was over, looked at me as if to say "Again, Again!"
I have not subjected him to La Carol.

Having never owned a cat (only dogs) I guess I have to ask if cats' genitalia are really that ambiguous? And I ask because you aren't the first person I know who's had that happen to them.
Glad to hear Fiyero is doing fine. What's your new cat's name?

Harley (the new cat) was a very teeny kitten when we took him in. AS my boyfriend said "Man, he's packing!" It looked like he had testicles but apparently not.
He acts very much like a boy cat- in fact he LOVES to climb on my fore arm and hump the hell out of mu elbow. Sometimes when Fiyero is sleeping, he'll sneak up and pound his butt too.
