I am in need of a headshot and money is a big financial issue for me at the moment so I edited my own photo in hopes of making a somewhat decent looking headshot..I am not good with editing pictures so I did it to the best of my ability. I just want to know some peoples oppinions and advice on how to make it better, thank you!

Well, if anyone's casting for a big red X you're in.
ROFL, Taz!!!!!!
lol tazber I am having some trouble getting it here for some reason.
Just off the top, casting directors will think you're keeping your mouth closed because you have bad or no teeth.
Jane, I would think no teeth is a good thing, casting couch and all...
Well! Now look where your head is! Pun intended!
I would really try to take one showing your teeth in front of a dark or solid background. The fuzziness of the background is distracting from your face.
Also-do you have a shot with your face in focus?
I don't really like the angle of your face, but I am not a casting director.
There is nothing in that picture that would catch the eye of a casting director or agent. The expression on your face makes it seem like you don't care about having the picture taken, or life in general. You have to have something engaging going on in your face/mouth/eyes.

It depends what you're looking to use it for. If you need a photo to bring to the community theater audition, it'll do. But if you're actually going out on a professional audition, no way.
No.
Too blurry, and the back ground is too busy.
And show some teeth!
And show some teeth!
I never thought I'd hear you say that, diva!

Money is a big financial issue for everyone. What else could it possibly be?
:P
If you have any friends with some digital photography skills have them use a the black & white setting and a neutral background and have them take some headshots for you. You can print them at home or at a Walgreens.
You really do need a neutral backround.
I've always been told that headshots are one thing to NEVER scrimp on. EVER.
And I don't have as big a problem with the lack of teeth as I do the smirk on your face. You want to seem sincere and personable...not smart aleck-y.
google headshots and take a look around to give you better ideas.
I said "Show 'Em" not "Use 'Em"!
And why does it look like you took it around the same time you took the pic in your av?

Sorry, but no.
Never have other people in your picture. The background is too blurry and distracting. Just take one in front of, at the very least, a neutral colored wall.
Whoah! Zoomy filters. Bad.

That might be the point.

I kinda like it. It may not be the best headshot but it does look like a trading card. Makes me want to collect em and trade em with my friends and if I get any doubles maybe put em in my bike spokes so it sounds like and engine.
Also, I totally want to go to that shopping center, or food court, or movie theater. It looks jumpin.
Namo its Bryant Park.
But I unfocused the back because I knew the background had to much people/signs/etc so I wanted to unfocus it so people wouldnt pay attention to that but it did the exact opposite lol.
I wouldnt use this for anything serious, I would deffinetly get a real head shot if I ever considered Proffesional job. This would just be used for small local/community theater so I have something.
I do however greatly appreciate all of your critisicm!
I think I might just get a proffesional headshot though.
If you search around, you can find pretty decent headshot photographers who charge as low as $100.
