Joey honey,
I would rather see Holly. Talk about stressful days.
Holly would make it better.
Corine
Welcome back, PJ dear.
PALJOEY;
And I am one of the HUSSYS!
PJ - while you know I love you, and usually agree with you, someone will have to call 911, because I think you just caused papa to choke on his own tongue!

Well, looks like I caused the Mysterious Moderator to choke on his/her Delete button. My first posting, in between the 2 Corine posts, was deleted.
I will try again, with a more religious, less erotic image of St. Sebastian.

Yikes. I come back from vacation to THIS twisted thread!
I am not one of the BWW gods, but I am one of the BWW saints.
I am Sebastian, saint of the political threads.
Damn. The other one was hot.
PJ, I was actually looking for a certain something in that first Saint painting, but couldn't find it. I wonder why it was deleted. I hope we can get it back so we can properly inspect it!
I think there was a little somethting right near the heel that might help determine whether or not he was circumcized.
Oh, is the heel how you could tell back in those days?
I've been thinking about this thread, and others that have been posted in the past by others. I'm talking about threads that someone starts with good intentions aimed at defending another poster, but which really invites far more commentary and discussion about that person than the original post that sparked the thread could ever have caused. A year or two ago, someone started a thread admonishing other posters to be gentle and kind to someone he perceived to be somewhat mentally challenged due to his manner of writing. The thread took off like a bat out of hell, and created much more of a furor and caused more damage in the name of defense than if it had been left alone.
That this thread didn't turn into a discussion of Corine's merit as a journalist, interviewer, and a lightning rod for her posting style and PM habits is a minor miracle.
I have to wonder, whenever I see someone charging in as the chivalrous knight, whether the person being defended is all that grateful for having been exposed to extra attention and speculation.
Lord knows that Corine invites people to read her website ad nauseum. She casts herself as a professional. You can't do that and invite feedback, and then freak out because someone takes issue with your writing. If you set yourself up as a public figure, you also set yourself up for comments on your work, both the good and the bad. You just really can't have it both ways.
No, I am not.
Editted because it was in need of editting.
gee, flitty, i never thought about turning this into a thread discussing corine and her corine-ity, but now that you mention it...
I answered the questions in my first post on this thread.
Good post, iflit.
Just sayin', papa... a lot of restraint was practiced today by more than a few individuals. Let's keep it that way, 'kay?
yer worried about me? mr. sweetness and light? mr. wouldn't harm a flea? the king of the pacifists?
perish the thought.
Excuse me IFF.
1. I never posted this thread.
2. I did not want a thread about this.
3. This will be the last time I post on Broadwayworld.
I have had enough.
Corine.... Did you actually READ what I wrote??? I was DEFENDING you.
I agree with Addy. Excellent post, Flitty. And I agree with you, too.

Just for the record - Corine PMed me about this almost immediately, and explained her uncomfortableness. I then e-mailed the moderator - or whoever gets the e-mail when you send one of those 'contact BWW emails - and asked to have it deleted. That was this morning, and here the thread still is!
I agree with what you've said, and I tried to do something about it. but . . .
The thread was about more than just Corine.
So, there was no need to have it deleted. Nobody was forced to post on it...
In my opinion.
