O'Reilly lashes out at The Simpsons

Really. A supposedly serious journalist feels compelled to respond to humor in an animated TV program. Makes you wonder which is really the cartoon.

I guess Bill just discovered The Simpsons. They've really mellowed. At least they said Fox wasn't racist.

He must have missed the Kent Brockman huge swear word episode some years ago.

Kent Brockman: Reporters used to expose corruption and corporate greed. Now, like toothless babies, they suckle at the teat of misinformation and poop it into the diaper called the six-o'clock news.

And:

Lisa: One thing I've always wondered… How can Fox News be so conservative when the Fox Network keeps airing raunchy shows? They don't fit together.
Kent: Fox deliberately runs shows that will earn them huge fines which are then funneled through the F.C.C. straight to the Republican Party. Everybody in the media knows it, but no one has the guts to say it.

I liked when the Stampy the elephant went on a rampage through the Republican convention and the party slogan was "We're just plain evil."

Mr. Burns: Kent Brockman is threathening our ill-gotten gains.

Rich Texan: Goldarn it! I worked hard to ill-get those gains!

The Springfield Republican Party Headquarters is frequently portrayed in the show as an ominous dark tower, with a thunderstorm always brewing above it, often accompanied by spooky mood music or the menacing cry of a falcon or howl of a wolf. Springfield Republicans include Ranier Wolfcastle, a Texas oil Billionaire, Mr. Burns and Dracula.

On The Simpsons, the FoxNews copter now reads: "Unsuitable For Viewers Under 75."

They should do this every week from now til the end of the season. Maybe Viewers can submit their ideas. Wonder if Billo will have something to say about this again.

And the thing is... The Simpsons can do it all they want. It's not like Fox can dump them.

It is unlikely that they will dump them...but I am sure they can if they wish to.

They would like oversensitive fools if they dump one of the most lucrative, beloved, and longest-running television shows in history.
