Posted: 2/12/10 at 11:50pmIt looked like she was lip synching at the end of that anthem, no? I mean, I didn't think so at all until I saw her mouth moving at a different pace than the sound for a minute there.

Steve Nash!
EDIT: Love that Lauer and Costas are spilling what is supposed to be a surprise.

Posted: 2/13/10 at 12:03am1/4 of all Olympic torch thingies will experience erectile dysfunction at some point. It's totally normal. It happens to all thingies.

So they made a torch and an ensemble to match its Stonehenge trademark.
Now Gretzky's leaving to torch it outside.

Stonehenge?
It's an Inukshuk. It's probably older than Stonehenge as a native synbol.

Loved the ceremony. Especially the part with the whales, constellations, and the August Rush bit with the kid. And K.D Lang did a spectacular job singing, as did Sarah Mclachlan.
And I think I'll start walking like a Mountie for now on. At least until the games are over.

The organizers start working 6-8 years out.

Posted: 2/13/10 at 1:50amI loved the music. Those projections were wonderful. A shame they had that glitch at the end though. It was nice to see K.D. Lang. The setting for her song was really cool. And I loved the kid who flew over the floor of the stadium. Somewhere today I read or heard that Celine Dion and Michael Buble were to take part. Maybe they will be at the closing ceremonies.

Posted: 2/13/10 at 2:09amI know the organizers and volunteers start working early. Hell, the athletes have been working since they were kids. I just mean that Lauer really has the easiest job there. He just reports. Everyone else is working their asses off. We all know he's just starting.
