Funny thing about this thread. This new poster comes in and starts this thread, which is taken over by an old trollish poster who admits to having duplicate accounts. Where is the OP? Why isn't s/he taking part in this discussion that s/he started? Could it be that having started this thread, his/her task was over?
eta: in other words, don't you think it's possible abbynormal has more than one duplicate account, the OP possibly being one of them? Either way, why continue to engage this account? As junglered says, no minds will be changed here, and there isn't any kind of reasonable exchange going on. What is the purpose of continuing it?

I'm not from California and don't live in California yet, but I plan on moving there soon. I haven't updated my profile since I moved back home so that's why it still says I live in NY, but I live in Oregon now and yes I know Brian Wilson is a liberal, who cares? He's still a great player and quite a character. I have liberal friends, I don't hate liberals, I just don't agree with them.
I agree california has good public universities, Oregon doesn't, sure we have a good football team, but the schools aren't great. And I realize my private university had liberal professors, but they didn't try to convince us one way or the other like my high school teachers did. I don't care if you're liberal or conservative, if you teach, you shouldn't be trying to convince your students to sway one way or the other.
And romantico, I don't have a problem with people forming gay/straight alliances, my private, Catholic school had one, I didn't have a problem with it at all. I'm not one of those republicans who hates them thinks groups like that that should be banned.

Believe me, I know what obamacare is, I do real research and don't just believe everything MSNBC tells me like I'm sure so many of you do.

More education won't help. I have friends who are very well educated, certainly, but still argue the same ridiculous lopsided loopy arguments as Abby. They make little more sense than this, and these are people with MBAs and, in one case, a PHD. At least that guy is rich, so his position is somewhat understandable - even if he can't express it without saying "well, yeah, but what about Obama!"
