He called USA Today and told them he's chosen a running mate. But of course he didn't reveal the mystery man/woman.
Meanwhile, Biden told the press yesterday "I'm not the guy".
So I guess it's between Bayh and Kaine.
Or as I call it, a lose/lose situation.

I still say it's going to be Michelle. They're going to do a Peron/Evita or Wallace/Lurleen type deal.
"So I guess it's between Bayh and Kaine.

There is a difference between the two for me - I will vote for Obama with Bayh, but if it's the homophobic Kaine , then he loses my vote.
Bayh is Lieberman 2.0. Do your research!!!
Anyway, maybe it's the booze talking but this all ads up to Clinton...
And if it doesn't I will be rather disappointed. Can you imagine all this hype for Biden?

I'm still delusionally holding out hope for Richardson or Clark
Can you imagine all this hype for Biden?
I was thinking that, too. Could you imagine all the angry people getting a text message tomorrow, announcing Joe Biden as the running mate???

If you wanna talk Evita, let's talk Janet Jagan the first American female president. It may not have been the USA, but her story is remarkable.
Adam ,,, yea it is just so fishy....
Not that there is much hope for McCain either way, but he's gonna have to pick up Huckaboo.

I'm not going to lie, my starfish tingles when you diehard Obama supporters start mentioning Hillary as VP with sincerity.
My damn kids keep sending me text messages. Like I care that they made the last bus to NJ when I'm waiting for Obama to text me.

I don't hate Hillary, I hate her politics. The same politics Joe Biden has. The same Obama has! I think Obama and Clinton OWE this to us their constituents.
They owe it to us to make this election DIFFERENT. They owe it to us to really make change. And YES it's superficial, but that is how we do here. Yes it is. And let's talk about the record number of NEW voters both registered compared to the Republicans who will lose.
This is our election. I don't for second doubt this is up to Clinton. I hope she did what was right and I look forward to my text.
I can't imagine they'll announce anything today. Friday is the worst day to announce things and traditionally the day you dump news you want to slip by without notice. Saturdays and Sundays are also bad and unlikely 'big announcement' days.
That leaves Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. I don't imagine they'd want to overshadow the beginning of their own convention. Particularly if the choice is not Hillary, they won't want the immediate reaction to that happening on Monday or Tuesday, completely putting the focus on the fact that it's 'not Hillary' for the first two days of the Convention.
I'm beginning to suspect that they're planning on not announcing until Wednesday night, sending the text out just a moment before the shocking surprise introduction of Hillary as his choice. The buildup and obsession with secrecy and leak control all point to this in my mind. Can you imagine the roar that will go up across the country if that happens?
Can I imagine it? It's like a WET DREAM for me!

"Obama is expected to appear at a rally with his running mate in Springfield, Illinois, Saturday. It's unclear just when the campaign will announce the vice presidential choice via text message."
We'll know sooner than you think!
I love this comment in the article that Namaste posted a link to "Nader also told Politico.com that Obama wouldn't be "that dumb" to pick Bayh or Biden to be vice president."
My only answer is, yes, he could be that dumb.
"My only answer is, yes, he could be that dumb. "
You can say that all you want, but I don't see how this was anyone's decisions BUT Clinton's. I'm sure she was offered it, if she took it that's her deal. He is a gentleman.
It amazes me how many of you on this board were fine with the Clinton attack machine when she said things like "McCain is more prepared thank Obama." and now expect him to pick her. I'm on the side that thinks he should go with her, but I certainly understand people that don't. Ultimately this is her call.
I wonder if he'd do his acceptance speech by text message too.
Omg, we're back to blaming hillary again?
He'll pick Hillary if he wants to win, if not, he'll pick someone else.
silly, taz. did we ever stop?
on another note, everyone knows that bammy is not a gentleman and that he told her she could only be on the ticket if she would deep throat him while mishy nailed her in the pooper with a 18" strap-on. all while being filmed. so, i mean if she was unwilling to do what it takes to become veep, then i can't imagine why he would want her on the ticket.
It's looking like Mr. Magic Underwear for McCain. This is gonna be FUN!
I noticed that this morning Obama was referring to his veep pick as "that person." Yesterday, it was "he." Could the "that person" indicate we may be getting someone of the female persuasion, or am I reading into it too much?
