"I guess in Goth's magical unicorn version of the world, bald men can also grow hair by going to the barber"
And I guess in your magical unicorn version of the world, students can sign up for thousands of dollars of student loans and then wish that the whole world would be redeemed from debt. Everything should be free.

No, but affordable.
My law school education cost $1400 a year. That same education costs $40,000 a year.
That is a problem.

So what does Wall Street have to do with the price of education?
What did student loans have to do with the discussion? You brought it up.

The last time I saw the Tea Party manifesto Dick Armey published, it was also a jumble of ridiculous requests. I defy you to articulate their point either.
Populist movements do not, by definition, have points. That's why they are called "populist. They are conglomerations of disaffected citizens, each of whom may have a different agenda, unified only by their dissatisfaction.
It is up to the people who come after them to articulate a coherent agenda, which is, inevitably, the more mainstream of the agendas.

Nice, linking to unofficial site. That is not an official site or an official demand. Stop making stuff up.
When tax policy favors the rich, starve the states, and serves the very top income earners, things like public education suffer.
It is a simple cause and effect.
And, nice to know how you feel about the First Amendment.

Goth - Review Admin note on that exact same page you linked.
PJ - I warned you about taking the bait. Goth's response to anything logical was all too predictable. I'm surprised he hasn't resorted to "Let them eat cake" yet.

So either point me to their official site or stop pretending you know what they are protesting.

I have already posted it earlier in this thread and you already responded to that post.
Perhaps you need to see a neurologist if you are having issues with recall and recollection.

Goldman Sachs v. Occupy Wall Street: A Greg Palast Investigation
A controversy in the banking community has arisen around the Occupy Wall Street movement. Greg Palast investigates the story behind Goldman Sachs’ recent decision to pull out of a fundraiser for the Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union in New York City after it learned the event was honoring the protesters at Occupy Wall Street. The investment bank withdrew its name from the fundraiser and also canceled a $5,000 pledge. Was the $5,000 a Goldman Sachs donation or actually American taxpayer bailout money Goldman set aside for community banks

Goth really is a troll at this point. He makes statements, we show him his factual errors, he never acknowledges them and throws out a new straw man argument. I can't believe he came all the way back around to "what are they protesting?" Goth, you know exactly what they're protesting, and seriously, if you don't, you're even more "special" than you appear.
I suggest ignoring him at this point.

Yesterday the Tennessee Department of General Services announced that any assemblies or gatherings in Legislative Plaza must have a permit (which they will only issue if the applicants pay a use fee and provide security and liability insurance). The public park is now only open to the public between the hours of 9 and 4.
About 3 AM almost two dozen protesters were arrested for criminal trespass.

For those trying to label the movement racist, this must be a little difficult to spin:
"In a demonstration of the broadening base of the Occupy Wall Street / 99% movement, a rally will be held this coming Saturday, October 29 at City Hall Park in New York City, co-sponsored by the Coalition Black Trade Unionists (CBTU), the A. Philip Randolph Institute (APRI), the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA), the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA), the National Action Network (NAN) and the NY State and NYC City Chapters of the NAACP"

Posted: 10/28/11 at 12:53pmNamo, as you said on the previous page (before things got Goth-jacked) the specific spaces are becoming less important as the movement spreads. It's almost comical to see the way the powers that be seem to think that by shutting down one space they can somehow stop the protests.
